Note on RAH tickets

From Johan: "I just got an e-mail stating that they (GigsandTours) won't ship them overseas (I live in Sweden and bought pre-sale tickets). All purchasers from foreign countries must pick up the tickets from the venue at the day of the event from 18:45 and onwards. Just bring confirmation number and credit card + ID and it should be OKAY they said. I hope the line won't be too long to get a good spot though."

Update (02-27-14): From Guillaume - "GigsandTours says that standing tix won't be sent to overseas purchasers. Only pickup at venue and day. They'll send the seated"

  1. Who is "they", here? SeeTickets, Gigs and Tours, Ticketmaster or the RHA box office? I believe they each have their own policy - with a £13.50 fee for UPS overseas delivery, I would hope that Ticketmaster would actually deliver.

As for ticket collection from 18:45 on when doors open at 18:00, that's rather silly, isn't it?

    1. I meant "when doors open at 18:30", not 18:00.

  3. I posted a message on facebook and some French fans did get their tix delivered. Maybe it depends on the purchaser or date of purchasing ?

  4. I know about someone who already received a friday ticket...here in Germany.
I`m still waiting for my tickets for both nights. Gigsandtours: "0% of tickets despatched. We are awaiting delivery of tickets for this event. Your tickets will be despatched as soon as they arrive. "

no worries, the que (trans: line) @ RAH is fun too!

  6. Sorry about the confusion, my fault, as there were 2 separate emails on this and I didn't include the info from the other one.

Johan lives in Sweden and bought his tickets from GigsandTours during the fan pre-sale.

I've updated the post with that info.

  7. Any chance a kind British soul would let me have my ticket shipped to their address? I'm in France and Gigsandtours won't ship here... I was really hoping to get in line nice and early, as I have a standing ticket. I could meet you anywhere in London from Thurs the 27th onwards! Will reward with booze! ;)

  10. Seems like everyone has gotten different conditions for their purchased tickets. Is everyone clear about what circumstances applies to their respective orders?
E.g buying straight from the RAH, Ticketmaster or Gigsandtours etc.

  12. Guillaume just sent me this on Twitter: "GigsandTours says that standing tix won't be sent to overseas purchasers. Only pickup at venue and day. They'll send the seated"

  13. Yes. They say they can't send the standing tickets as they can't guarantee their safe arrival overseas. And if they're lost in the post they can't be replaced.

  14. I live in Ireland and I received the following email earlier today.

    Dear....

We're writing to you regarding your order for THE CURE at Royal Albert Hall, London on SATURDAY 29/03/2014 at 19.30
Because your address is overseas etc etc etc..

Please take this as confirmation that your order will be available for collection from the venue box office from 18.45 onwards on the day of the event.
Please take the card the tickets were purchased with as identification and a copy of this e-mail.

ONLY THE CARD HOLDER CAN COLLECT TICKETS

You will also be asked to confirm your booking reference number.

    Kind regards,
    gigsandtours Customer Services

My problem is that I am not the cardholder. My girlfriend (who is the cardholder) will not be travelling with me. I informed gigsandtours of this and they had to change the name on the order so that I will be able to collect my own tickets with photo ID. So if your tickets were not booked using your own credit card (and the cardholder won't be available on the night), you'll need to get in contact with gigsandtours and ask them to change the name on the order.

  18. As far as I'm aware, the seating tickets are being posted overseas. Standing are not.

  19. Ticketmaster has started shipping tickets for 28 March to overseas customers. That includes Standing tickets.

  20. Those who paid GigsandTours now should get standing tickets at 18:45 the day of the show....but I think there are many people wanting to queue early.
is there anybody who asked if it is possible to collect tickets in the morning or the day before?
    GigsandTours....should solve this thing
