From Reeves on Facebook: "great
show in osheaga. no thanks to canadian customs inspectors who managed
to destroy my main guitar by seemingly leaving it outdoors in a heavy
rain storm with the case open during inspection."
Update from Reeves on Facebook: "this reverend jetstream hb guitar came thru at lollapalooza last night with flying gold sparkly colors as a last minute substitute for my main reverend rg2 guitar that canadian customs destroyed. boundless thanks to ken haas at reverend and matt k at chicago guitar exchange."

And before anyone gets upset, Blame Canada is a joke/song from South Park. Personally, I love Canada, and don't blame you for anything. Well...Celine Dion, but we all have skeletons/awful "singers" in our closets. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd rumors that it was our resident Canadian troll who did it, can not be confirmed at this time.
DeleteNot that i care much about Canada's reputation, but if Reeves left Montreal to go to Chicago, the custom inspectors he saw were americans; it's the other way around that you have to pass Canadian customs. Unless this happened when they arrived here... i can't remember if he played that guitar last friday. Shitty thing anyway, i can't imagine this NOT happening on purpose; how does one forget a guitar under the rain ?!
ReplyDeleteThey had to deal with them when they reached Montreal.
Deleteyou can blame us for Nickelback too unfortunately :P
ReplyDelete...and Justin Bieber, and Avril Lavigne, and Stephen Harper... ;)
DeleteSimply love Canada for giving birth to Voivod;-)
