"I was looking into some of my old pics of THE CURE and among others I discovered these from 4TOUR MUNICH 25/FEB/2008 with Robert and Simon before the show I never uploaded… nice to see Simon with red hair again! : )" (Thanks @marsworld)

  2. His hair's in pretty bad shape when you see it that close up...thin too....he should do a Gary Numan on it and get hair transplants or else cut it short

  3. Tonight on french tv France 2, a report in two parts, titled 'L'Art a Tout Prix' about modern art and the Marcel Duchand price given at the FIAC in Paris (international contemporary art), and several Cure tracks were used as musical background (a forest, inbetween days, boys don't cry) as well as many other 80's and 90's songs.

  5. It's been a few years since the last Cure album, is there any news about new music?

  6. You haven't read COF lately?
There were talks about it around the time of the Reflections shows and probable relase for 2012, and the last mention about it is just 3 weks ago, december 15.

  7. JPX - The hope is to have a new album out before the end of the year, or at least completed. The question is whether it will be the completion of the "dark album" from 08, something completely new, or a mixture of the two.

Of course this is all just talk at the moment, and as we've seen in the past, plans can change.

Still, Robert says he is going to focus on nothing but The Cure for the next year, no more collaborations and outside things, so if you take him at his word, something will get done this year.

  8. Craig, your comments about a possible new album somehow reminded me of the April Fool's joke you did many years ago with an entire Fake cure album that you made up...a song called "Heavy World..." etc.
Made me laugh to recall it.
Can you repost that, just for fun?

I have this poster hanging in my room.

    Just Oberhausen instead, guess why...

  11. Such a shame "a boy I never knew" did not make it on the last record, or even a bigger shame: 4:13 Dream was not a Double Album.

  12. Keith,yes...about Robert's hair he needs that since many years ago I suppose that's why he never cuts his hair, but I am sure that Robert is doing that right now (the trasplants).Look at his hair in 2008 4 tour and Reflections shows, still thin but I think much more hair.
