Carol & Peter from Bettie Serveert, along with others, will be doing a Cure session (which I assume means Cure covers) on July 8th in Amsterdam. (Thanks Anne-Frank)
Update: Video of the band doing 'A Forest', 'Let's Go to Bed', 'The Caterpillar', and 'Close to Me'. And some photos from the show. (Thanks Anne-Frank)

Thanks for posting this, Graig...I´ll be there...who else?
ReplyDeleteI wish I could! Used to love Bettie Serveert, and would love to hear what Carol & Peter do with the songs.
ReplyDeleteHope you will give us a report after the show, Anne-Frank. And that you have a great time at the show.
not related, but came across this fairly old interview, makes for a great read:

ReplyDeleteMaybe nothing important but i realize that in thecure.com at the event section there is a partial map of the US.
ReplyDeleteI hadn´t seen it before.
Maybe its a clue or a random thing with no further importance.
Well that is new. At least on that page. And they've finally added Bestival. They didn't do that with Reflections. Let's hope there will be a new post from Robert very soon.
ReplyDeleteI also received this weird email today from the Cure welcoming me to the official newsletter. which I don't recall applying for, certainly not recently at least... random flux & activities on the official site?

Ooooh exciting. I'm putting my bets on a tour early next year.
ReplyDeleteMy bets are on more roller coaster rides of speculation, rumors and hopes followed by disappointments and let downs.
ReplyDeleteBUT I could be wrong so I'm sticking around.
Besides, as a wise oracle once stated: "There's nothing left but faith."
4 year plan. Never fails. 2012 The Cure will tour. It's in the stars (or underneath them)
ReplyDeleteat least there is euro 2012 next year. and i'm sure robert will be sitting in front of the tv at that time;-)
ReplyDeleteHey Craig--I don't know if you posted this previously, but Fascination Street is playing the Seattle Hard Rock Cafe this Saturday:
