  2. I don't mind minor delays if things are done right -- i.e. no lack of lyrics and that things are in good condition.

  3. how long does it possiblyyy take to put together some remastered tracks? we're not making a whole new album here.

    oh well :/

  4. @Craig - Did you see my post about Roger in Saturday's thread?

In regards to the delay.. no biggie, at least we know it's coming.. no doubt it's just something to do with shipping/distribution..

  5. i suppose we expected this though, haha. and all robert ever told us was "spring," so we shouldn't have expected a late winter release.

  6. You think this is bad?
Try looking at the delays that the "My Bloody Valentine - Loveless" 2xCD has had.
It's been pushed back again and again for the last 3 YEARS.

  8. although it better come out before may 1st, since then my address will be different and i'll have to go through the trouble of altering my preorder..

  9. My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" has been delayed since June 2008, so this isn't too bad :(

  10. Didn't see your comment B.D. Well said. BTW, this seems to be more full of flux than anything else at the moment.

  11. meh.... can't say that I am surprised. Any time in 2010 ia fine by me.

  12. No release date has been announced on thecure.com so technically it's not delayed, right?

  13. Brad: Yes, it has. Do you really think the record companies just make these release dates up out of thin air, send them out to the retailers, then just change them on a whim?

Dates/plans change, things get delayed, no big deal.

  14. notherbob: Yes, I saw it. Will get that posted soon. Thanks!

  15. In fact, I just posted it. : )

  16. German Universal site still says Feb 12th, as does my amazon.de preorder.

  17. Craig- I'm not suggesting that dates are made up 'out of thin air', merely that there has been no official public announcement of a release date (at least that I'm aware of).

Clearly the info is coming from somewhere, and you're right that details can change and it's no big deal.

We have a major retailer still listing it as a Feb 12 release...

This earlier release date is no more or less valid than any other date that any retailer around the world is reporting at the moment... for all we know Australia might get it months before everyone else. Unlikely though...

We will probably see more 'delays', and then find the retailers will all have a similar date when an 'official' announcement is made.

  18. I wasn't expecting this until at least mid april anyway so a march 30 European release suits me fine. Here's hoping the demos are nice and different!

  19. Will they play summer festivals as they did en 2005 to support the release of Disintegration remaster?
Perhaps it's just a dream but Could you imagine a summer gig playing the whole Disintegration? I'll cross my fingers :)

    Are you sober?

  22. Well, things are back to normal I guess, since the first time we heard about this it was supposed to be in April, way back last year... lol

  23. This is the first (semi)official European release date though, right?

I expect it to be delayed at least once more.

  26. This does not bother me at all, I can understandAs I mentiond before, there can be a number of factors for a delay, such as misprints of the booklets or cover art, defects on the disk, the press does not have a large enough staff, the list goes on. Disintegration may be push back to May 4 2010, Then it really will be its 21st anniversary. It came out May 1 1989, May 1989- May 2010 will be 21 years. Good things will come to those who wait. Looking forward!

  27. Notherbob- that's just the checkout monkeys who have no idea... I like to play a game called 'i'm going to enquire about an upcoming cure release so that they can then say to the other monkeys "hey did you know the cure have a new release?" '. I consider it my duty to provide them with this professional development opportunity... ;)

They often come through with cure product in my hands before anyone else in the world has it... and they're the only store that can be relied upon to actually get cure product (Inc singles and cool imports). To be honest, I don't buy music or movies anywhere else these days... And besides, I'm hooked up for VIP discount!!

  28. I'm starting to think Bob likes to mess with us! Disappointed but not shocked. New material used to take less time back in the day. You would think with time things would get more efficient, not less!

  30. I just checked Idea Copy's website and it still has the release date as March 16th.

  31. Not all retailers have updated their websites yet. Some are still listing the original Feb. date. As of last checking, only Amazon UK and CD Universe have updated their info.

  32. A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and proceeds to fire it at the other patrons.

"Why?" asks the confused, surviving waiter amidst the carnage, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

"Well, I'm a panda", he says, at the door. "Look it up"

The waiter turns to the relevant entry in the manual and, sure enough, finds an explanation. - "Panda. Large black and white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

  33. RE: Eats, shoots and leaves

It was missing this title in the written test that kept me from advancing in the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire - Pop Culture Edition" auditions.

    Commas...
