Review: "I hope this film gets very very soon on dvd and in my dvd-player. It's absolutely fantastic. The dvd was very professionally made. Nice effects, nice camera shots. On the big videowall it was like being in Paris. Nice effects on alt.end and end of the world. a fantastic highlight was on play for today, very much camera moves within the crowd, looks nice on a 270m2 bigscreen. sound was wonderful. Nice on prayers for rain, it was raining :-) There had been some curefans, maybe 10 at all with t-shirts, and many "normal"." (Thanks Jörg)

wish they had included "A Boy I Never Knew". Shame that all they showed seems to routine (ie. Coachella, 4Play in Charlotte, & NME Awards Big Gig)
ReplyDeletewhat a great way to spend an evening!! wish we had more cure events like this over here!
ReplyDeleteNow, a Blu-Ray would be awesome!!!

ReplyDeletewho wants to see a small video.
sound and video is not at the same time, thank you nokia
my friend, who made this, just believes this was 2006, she is no cure fan :)
Of course, they left out some of the best songs. No Faith? That's criminal. And they played almost the entire Seventeen Seconds encore, but left out the best song (At Night).
ReplyDeleteLet's hope that the DVD/Blu-ray (if it ever arrives) will include the entire 3.5 hour set. Otherwise I'll feel cheated.

ReplyDeletei wished they had played other songs.
ReplyDeletebut this was a film festival, and who knows, if they had been able to, because the got one dvd which lasted 60 minutes.
Wow, happy to see the pictures and read the history of the screening of the show.
ReplyDeleteAs many said, many songs left outside, but for now, better this than nothing.
Hoping we get a dvd of the full concert, 3.5 hours of pure CURE live !!!!
:)

Well like Navieau said 3 times, I hope we can watch the whole show on dvd...
ReplyDeleteI really don't think ABINK will make it on to the DVD. As a matter of opinion, I don't think this song will ever be released, which is a shame.
ReplyDeleteSame old same old. Oh well. Maybe a "Vegas" show really is in the works?
ReplyDeleteDVD must have the whole thing or probably not worth it! Robert knows this for sure.. im sure he knows his fans do enjoy Faith!
ReplyDeleteGah! I am so over all this recycled events stuff....sorry but the lack of news about the reissues is really annoying, I am sick of waiting to hear Disintegration and Wish! How hard would it be for the caps lock action to be put into gear and give us a bone, any bone.....
ReplyDeletehello to evryone and sorry for the grumpiness.....
Australian Triple J Hottest 100 of all time on right now... Close to Me #54... http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/hottest100_alltime/countdown/cd_51-60.htm
ReplyDeleteCraig, wtf is going on? The official site has gone deeper into hell than ever before, lots of new music lies gathering dust while fans starve for it, and there is no word with regard to what will happen now that TMU yoke has been lifted. So many bizarre happenings, the usual delays and secrecy where unreleased music is concerned, Robert's normal reticence, etc. *sigh* Games, games, games!
ReplyDeleteI'm old. I could die from a geriatric disease before more songs are released! Do you know anything at all (anything that you are allowed to share)?
And where the hell is Clockwise Cat?
7bluestars - never mind that, I'd like to know how we get to this blogspot now that compuserve/ourworld has shut down the site...
ReplyDeletenotherbob - since you posted a comment, I presume that your question about finding this blog is rhetorical? :)

7bluestars!! where have YOU been?? havent seen you in like a year!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, I've been there! It took a while for me to remember that Wien is Vienna. I've been to that exact location in 2003. They were playing classical music concerts and stuff, and there's lots of food sold around there. I miss those Austrian sausages, but could never remember what they were called to order them. Something in German obviously.
ReplyDeleteAnother Curespotting, a short interview mentioning Fascination Street (Seattle's Cure tribute band) with a great quote
