Monkeybutt, that remindes me, remember someone saying a while back that the hidden track on the new album would be a cover of 'Wake me up before you go-go"?
Great news, now we already know the name of the 8 tracks officialy released.
"Without You" is another line often used on Cure songs, but as someone said "sounds promising" and for me sounds like a sad song as well ( A very good one, i'm trusting on it )
I´m excited since now and i need to listen both tracks.
Shamely i have to wait like 28 days and nights more.
Thanks a lot to Craig and the "misterious" Friend of COF for spreading the word.
WAAAAAAH!!!!! No Christmas album for sure now.... Seriously, I think this has ruined my day. I'd gotten really foolishly hopeful about the Dark Christmas album.... Dammit....
Hey all, long time reader, first time poster. 29 and from Philly. Been a huge huge Cure fan since 1992. Anyway....I thought it would be great if they released a double album with 13 positive songs and 13 uh...not so positive songs. Then do 5 bsides. Does that math make sense? How many songs were recorded for the album? I want to say 33...then that math wouldn't work.
Woot! TY C <3
ReplyDeleteOh...and I always forget to Thank Friend Of COF.
ReplyDeleteWe love you Friend Of COF ^_^
thank you friend of COF.
ReplyDeletewhat a great title for a song! as long as it's not a motley crue cover.
Thank you, Friend of COF and Craig!
ReplyDeleteI love COF for Cure News.

ReplyDeleteExcellent news! :)
This one hasn't been heard before, has it?
I haven't heard it...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I remember Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go...
ReplyDeleteWonder who said that... <_<
Anyhooo, Without You will be a cover of the David Bowie song, found on Let's Dance, 1983.
Thanx Friend of COF!
I know that Wake me up will be a real slow take, apparently. A really slow and depressing take on the original. We will be surprised.
ReplyDeleteoh god....
ReplyDeletei cant wait. i CANNOT WAIT.
Are you all freakin' serious? I'm a naieve one, you know, and will fall for it.
ReplyDeleteWell what's wrong about falling from time to time? ;-)
ReplyDeleteLet's have some fun!
Monocle time! o_q

I think the lyrics to "WIthout You" will go something like this:
ReplyDeleteAnd I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldn't be me and be her
Inbetween without you
Without you
ooer! all this information all at once! my head is spinning!
ReplyDeleteit's heaven!
Jarbee, sounds like a good song!
ReplyDeleteBut not too good I hope, I don't want this to turn into another b-side better than a-side kinda thing... you know.
Anyone else think this might be "Christmas Without You" retitled? Sounds promising...
ReplyDeleteNoooo! We need that song for the Dark Christmas album!!!
ReplyDelete*Starts coughing blood*
*Throws a fit*
*Is not really serious*
regina! how dare you dash my dreams! D;
ReplyDeletewell i did think it sounded like a wham song at first...
Great news, now we already know the name of the 8 tracks officialy released.

Craig, do you have any info on 'Without You'? I honestly can't remember if bits and scraps got leaked.
ReplyDeleteIt seems this is the song whose working title was "Christmas without you".
ReplyDeleteNot to be confused with 'Christmas Without You' as mentioned on the Cure's Wikipedia page???
ReplyDeleteWAAAAAAH!!!!! No Christmas album for sure now.... Seriously, I think this has ruined my day. I'd gotten really foolishly hopeful about the Dark Christmas album.... Dammit....
ReplyDeleteTPB is going to be awesome. i love love LOVE that song. of course, i'm merely a sychophantic fangirl, but anyway...
ReplyDeletej'ai bien hate d'étendre ca!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this song will contain a chorus that contains the words "Inbetweeeeen Days! Inbetween Daaayyys!" (Get it? nudge, nudge)

ReplyDeleteI always like the idea of light and dark, too. 13l +13d + n b-sides = x tracks works for me! ;-)
ReplyDeletecosmic - that was, like, astoundingly funny. well done.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible that this track is something we have heard, only renamed?
