  1. I'm coFUSEd. Is this going to be on Fuse TV or Rave HD? If it's on Rave HD then like 10 people in the NY area will be able to watch it... Hopefully some wonderful soul will record it and share it with the rest of us!

  2. Fuse the station, that's how I understood it...

    ReplyDelete
  3. I just checked my TiVo and it is listed as The Cure at MSG on FUSE tv station at 8 pm (California time) Friday June 20th.

    ReplyDelete
  4. this better be a good show, cuz i'm draining my savings for it.

    ReplyDelete
  5. My Cox cable DVR goes only one week out so I will check on Friday or Saturday.

As an ex-New Yorker I wish upon you a fantastic Cure show in NYC Cat. IT WILL HAPPEN! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  6. WHAT? cat are you coming to nyc????
    wtf did i miss?!

    ReplyDelete
  7. jpx, fuse is like emo screamo music channel here in nyc.

    ReplyDelete
  8. and wait a minute wait. is it live? why is it only one hour? conFUSEd too!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Allrighty now. I just check tvguide.com and indeed it's Fuse tv and I will be able to watch/record it. It's an hour and on at 8pm Pacific (or crazy Arizona) time.

    SWEET!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Jerry - don't forget your friends in Oz that would love to see the show :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. SOMEONE ANSWER ME!!! >:@

    oh, hi elise! :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sofia - Hi/Bye - gotta go to work now :P

    ReplyDelete
  13. elise, bah! have a good day...

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'd certainly purchase a copy from one of you New Yorkers! The closest thing we have in Rhode Island is cable access where fat kids argue about Star Trek.

    ReplyDelete
  15. jpx, i see we have a trade going then ;p

    ReplyDelete
  16. Don't you worry Jo, if I record it I will figure out a way to get it out of the DVR and out to the masses!

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's already on the show list on DirecTV so I hope it's happening....

    ReplyDelete
  18. sofia, i am indeed coming to msg, and i would love to meet up with you all if you'll have me. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Cat - seriously I am so excited for you!!!!

    *turns green with envy*

    ReplyDelete
  20. cat, hells YES i will have you!
you probably have better tickets than me. where are you in the arena?
and i totally lost the email for the COF meetup! anyone? i need that email again! i have ideas for bars!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Sofia & Cat - promise me that if you meet up for a drink you have a toast to absent friends :(

    ReplyDelete
  22. elise, we'll toast the hell out of you guys ;*

    ReplyDelete
  23. Sofia - Thanks!!! I am sooo envious. Sitting here at work, trying to find focus, but knowing that I would much prefer to be somewhere Cure-ish :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. if i was nearby id come over to your office and sprinkle your cubicle (if you have one) with all things cure-ish! glitter and moons and stars and lipstick and eyes and lips and hands...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Sofia - *hug* I would love that and am going to pretend that it has already happened!

    ReplyDelete
  26. :)

    curegirlfans...

    it's all about the lurve.

    ReplyDelete
  27. sofia, i never got a COF meetup e-mail... was it MSG related?

i am on the floor - section seven, row j. i am hoping to move up closer to christina, but we will see!

    and you?

elise, i feel pretty badly bragging right now about all of this... if they come here next year, promise that you'll fly over??

you are in my thoughts, hun. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Even I am becoming concerned about the amount of time I am 'losing' to the Cure and CoF. This is an obsession like none I have ever known.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Cat - I am planning on coming over regardless of the Wishful Thinking tour or not. Even if there is NO tour (god forbid) I would love to catch up with my CoF pals. Maybe for Prom Night :)

Brag away, baby - I am living vicariously through you guys.

    ReplyDelete
  30. cat, i'm in section fucking 11 >:@
those were all they had in the stupid pre-sale. GOD i'm still so angry.

    howd you get those tickets?

i have two extras for the 200 section so maybe i can work something out there. im not sure. :c

    ReplyDelete
  31. elise, i know! i love cof fantasy land. i dont have enough brain left to think about anything else but the cure shows and my boyfriend. and chatting here.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Elise and Sofia - LOL - I hear ya totally about this Cure obsession/COF fantasyland. It happens every four years, so I think we're safe! It BETTER happen again, anyway, cuz it's too much fun! I was like this in 04 as well, possibly even moreso than now. Like you, Sofia, boyfriend and Cure/COF are about all I can handle at this point...

And boyfriend of course just rolls his eyes and makes snide remarks... it's pretty hilarious!

Elise, it would be fun to meet up! We could have a Cure party in NOLA!

I am dying to meet Craig. I just adore him!!

    *squeals like a COF fangirl*

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sofia - what do you mean 'CoF Fantasyland' - you mean this isn't the real world?

    ReplyDelete
  34. LOL elise... these days, it IS the real world...

    ReplyDelete
  35. My hubby tried subliminal messages on me last night as we went to sleep - I heard him whispering "When you wake you will no longer b obsessed by The Cure" - like that was gonna work :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Cat - LOL at *squeals like a fangirl*

Lucky, v going to the prom with Craig.

But, seriously, I would love to meet Craig and buy him a dinner!

    ReplyDelete
  37. well im not paying attention to the rest of the world, so i guess this is it for me!

cat, my boyfriend called robert smith "melty looking". and he LOVES the cure (he's so jealous). we've known eachother for 10 years and this is our first cure show TOGETHER. it's also our 3 year anniversary so these are big nights for us. :)

new orleans is one of my very favorite cities on earth! so a cure meetup there would be so wild.
ill even wrestle a gator for your affections ;0

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well you know ladies, you can always argue that some dudes get excited every 4 years for the World Cup, Euro, the Olympics, or worse: EVERY year with the NFL or Nascar or whatever else!

So getting excited about a rock band (an 80's band at that! lol) every 4 years is toooootally acceptable, isn't it? he he

    ReplyDelete
  39. Fantac - you are so right. I love the way you think

    ReplyDelete
  40. elise, that's funny about your hubby's subliminal messages. ain't worked, that's for sure.

sofia, that's awesome! so you are going to MSG and RCMH, right? what a great way to celebrate your anniversary. my bf does not like them, hence why i am going solo. but it's very cool with me, esp. since i can meet up with my new pal christina and you all! my bf and i share a love for tom waits, so the sunday after MSG we are going to fly to houston for waits! :-D

sofia, i can't remember - what other cure shows have you seen on this tour, if any? and don't you lie in cali?

    ReplyDelete
  41. hi fantac! :D

hey, this is 24/7 fandom for me. i don't care what anyone else thinks.
the cure: not a habit, a lifestyle!

    ReplyDelete
  42. fantac - i get excited about all of the above - except for nfl and nascar. i still cant beieve i thought you were a COF kitten earlier - *dies laughing*

hey - whoevers in the front rows at MSG - i think christina had a seat in the first 5, might show up on the FUSE camera!

    ReplyDelete
  43. cat, i am green with envy that you are seeing waits!!! g and i were going to see him in atlanta, but the cash involved with all these shows was getting crazy.

i live in new york. g lives in canada. which is why we havent had many chances to see them together :)
hopefully this visa bullshit goes smoothly for us so the cure obsessed star-crossed lovers can finally be together!

    ReplyDelete
  44. i remember now that you are in nyc. sorry! i had looked at your profile before.

i hope it works out with you and your bf too - what kind of visa obstacles is he facing??

that would have been wild if you were in atlanta to see waits. we actually won't be here for it, which is why we are going to houston. we saw him in atlanta and nashville in 06, though -blew us the fuck away! only concert that is better than the cure.

    ReplyDelete
  45. hey dj! done with finals???

i am 2nd row at msg - but in section 1 - way on the right. but i will bring roses again - and maybe they will let me go up front just to give them to robert real quick. *hopes*

my ass hurts from being raped by stub hub for all these NYC tickets.

i know - great visual there - sorry guys.

    hows your ass, cat? :D

    ReplyDelete
  46. DJ - You're not the only one that presumed I was a lady... But hey, not talking about that here, remember? ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Man I COF meet up in NOLA would be awesome. I went there a bunch of years ago for a few days and just had a ball! I say we do Cafe Du Monde for breakfast, Port O' Call for burgers and monsoon's for lunch and Felix's for oysters! I'm sure Craig would probably know way better places but those certainly stuck in my mind and stomach! ;-) It would be ZERO effort to convince my wife to go to NOLA for whatever reason!

    ReplyDelete
  48. cat,
we're just getting ready to apply for a k-1 so we're quite nervous about the whole affair! its like...ugh. just let him be here already. all this red tape bullshit! let people be together!!!

the last time i saw waits in concert was the '99 mule variations tour. and i also saw him in studio when he did the daily show a couple years back (promoting orphans). i was 10 feet away from him and sobbing like a baby!
that '99 tour was worth every last dime. he is just a god.

    ReplyDelete
  49. The Cure back at MSG, saw them there in 87 and then the infamous benefit show at the Ritz the following day... Good times

    ReplyDelete
  50. christina - physics finals were horrible. i got a 70% on it! i still have a b as my overall grade though, i wanted a b+ damn it!

fantac - ;). by the way, how're your students?

today was my last day as a freshman! high school feels normal, i seriously thought it would be like how the movies and tv and music portrayed it to be. or maybe i still havent experienced the cool HS stuff yet. im scared how fast the years are going by though

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hey Jerry - Please refresh my memory! What was infamous about the Ritz show?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Well wow where do I start... Umm Lol singing wild thing at the end? Killing an Englishman.. Also the original Ritz was super tiny, it was like seeing them in an HS auditorium, very cool. Very small crowd.

    Here's the setlist:

    http://www.cure-concerts.de/concerts/1987-08-11.php

    ReplyDelete
  53. DJ - I wouldn't know! 90% of them are skipping the last week!!! We have averages of 5 out of 30 students in class since Wednesday! lol I guess they're doing good: it's nice outside! he he

I can hardly blame them... I did the exact same thing when I was in HS O:o)

    ReplyDelete
  54. sofia, i remember now - we have had this convo about waits. i was not a fan in 99... i became a fan about 8 years ago, when my bf introduced me to him. actually my bf intro me to his music in 98, but i didn't really get into him until a couple of years later. and yes waits is a GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. he is the only cat cooler than RSX, IMO. that is so great you saw him perform at the daily show!

for the orphans tour, he did a fucking OUTSANDING MESMERIZING HEARTBREAKING rendition of Day After Tomorrow, from Real Gone. Brought me to tears both times!

sofia, you MUST SEE HIM AGAIN! get a credit card!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Thanks Jerry - Sure sounds like this was an experience (Lol actually singing?? errrrr...)

(I guess most of us have thought but never mentioned there's something really funny about the fact that the one guy who was clearly identified as the jester in a group of guys is named "Lol" years before those three letters ever started being used all over the world to express laughter!!!)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Fantac not sure if funny is the right word, ironic maybe? ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  57. oh cat and sofia - tom doesnt live too far from me! not that im stalking him.. *shifty eyes* my dad and him are the same age, and we were gonna go see him for glitter and doom, but hes not even doing one show in his own home area! he hasnt done one here for YEARS! *sob*
cat, can you like sneak me in your luggage for the houston show? lol

    ReplyDelete
  58. scribbles, live up north ca, huh?
id love to run into that man and just gush. ive been a fan my whole life. my dad used to sing "barber shop" to my brother and i when we were little.

cat and christina- so how can i be sure the stubhub tickets are the real deal and i wont be fucked by fake tickets? thats my only concern! :\

    ReplyDelete
  59. so instead of writing "LOL" for laughter, we should write "tolhurst"! :D

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yeah Jerry - Definitely ironic but I also find it funny! Is it me or Lol came to be a bit of a taboo subject!? I mentioned this some time ago that I finished reading The Story of The Cure (which includes a lot of quotes from Lol) and I can't help but admire the guy for being able to overcome his alcoholism. Yet no one really talks about him anymore. I find this weird.

    ReplyDelete
  61. sofia - i thought the same thing. especially for printed e-tickets. i called ticketmaster and you can read them your ticket# and they will tell you if they are still valid. as for there being a copy floating around somewhere - whoever gets the ticket scanned in first gets in. so if you are worried - get there very early. plus- stub hub is the only broker that has the money back guarantee (that ive seen anyway). so that is why i went with them. they are a tad bit more expensive than the others - but the guarantee was worth it to me.

    ReplyDelete
  62. It is weird Fantac but I think that all the negative things said about Lol over the years (esp. from Kiss Me on) has diminished his role in the bands history. Known as the drunk, inferior drummer, inferior keyboardist and the final slap was Disintegration when he was credited with "other instruments' whatever that means... Lol is the Cure's red headed stepchild for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  63. my ticketsnow tic was a hard ticket... and stubhub is fedexing my ticket... so i was assuming it too was a hard ticket... is it not??

it would seriously suck big titties for the tix to be fake or for someone to use a copy... i had not thought about that :-(

    ReplyDelete
  64. Jerry - Yeah I know and it just feels wrong... I guess that's why no one really talks about it. I answered my question when I asked it... It just brings too many bad memories and aspects I guess. It ended to sourly. But apparently, him and Robert are friendly again so I guess that is really all that matters. And like I said, the man's been clean for over 16 years now! I say bravo.

    ReplyDelete
  65. dj, damn you that you live so close! and yes, i don't get why he does not play cali... makes NO sense. i would be very pissed off if i were you all. which show will you see on the glitter and doom tour? waits is truly AMAZING live!

    ReplyDelete
  66. now i just found out that my tickets at RCMH are not as close as i thought they were and i feel like crying.

    ugh. i want to stay home now!!!! what a brat. i know, but i thought we were REALLY CLOSE D;

    ReplyDelete
  67. oh, i see that you are NOT going... well, if i were you and your dad (and wouldn't that be strange for me to be two people at once), i would fly to texas to see him! it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it. i cannot exude enough hyperbole for this man.

    ReplyDelete
  68. sofia, sorry! :-( but it will still be worth it. i'm not that close in atlanta/charlotte/msg, if that makes you feel better.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Sofia - How far are you? :oS

    ReplyDelete
  70. we're still in orchestra. its just the double letters are closer than the single letters (for some stupid reason) so i thought i was in like, the third row!!!!!

oh dont say youre sorry, cat. though, thank you. i know what a shit i am for even complaining. you just get your hopes up, you know?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Jerry - a NOLA catch up sounds like a fantastic idea. COunt me in.

BTW - god I hate it when work interferes with my blogging ability.

    ReplyDelete
  72. christina, i'm like, crying right now. im so stupidly hysterical about this. they are still good seats. but why on earth would they DO THAT?
ugh. i'm so glad you understand -_-

    ReplyDelete
  73. Why can't they just number the rows!!!! Seriously, how hard can it be.... row 1, row 2, row 3 - it's not rocket science people

    *gives Sofia a hug*

    ReplyDelete
  74. Too bad Sofia - I'm in row VV. I've never been that close actually (I know, I know)... I'm really looking forward to it :o)

    ReplyDelete
  75. ughhhhhh. :*(

aw. thanks, elise. you guys are so sweet...

    ReplyDelete
  76. Sofia - I have a feeling that once you're there, you will forget about this and enjoy the show ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  77. i guess this is karma for being first row for curiosa. BUT THAT WAS OUT IN THE SUN! I HATE THE SUN! *goths out*

    ReplyDelete
  78. There are definitely pros and cons for general admission:
Pro - get there early enough and you are in the front row WOO HOO

Con - If you have the crowd like Cat and Christina had, you can end up with broken ribs.

    ReplyDelete
  79. fantac, yeah...i know youre right. i'm just in tantrum mode right now. :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Sofia: I completely understand you being so upset. I would be upset, too. That is just wrong to do that with the letters. :( *hugs*

    ReplyDelete
  81. sorry, sofia!!!! i don't blame you for being upset at all. i am dreading being so far away from them at my other shows after austin and ALL curiosa shows being RIGHT up front.

    ReplyDelete
  82. :/ *twitch*

thank you, v. curegirlfans always looking out for eachother...

    ReplyDelete
  83. (tolhurst) hahah! sofia goths out! haaaa!!!!!!

man - hell! karma has nothing to do with that. you should be close for all the shows -as fanatical as we all are. THAT would be karma -and all the jlh-lover-motherfuckers (say that 3x fast)would be in the BACK - or in the lobby - THAT would be karma.

    ReplyDelete
  84. *goths out* - lol, sofia, i can't wait to meet you!

    ReplyDelete
  85. i agree with fantac... eventually you just get immersed in the show and forget that you are not up front gazing into robert's mesmerzing eyes or ogling simon's pht

    ReplyDelete
  86. You know... just like that, I wouldn't want to upset both Cat and Sofia at the same time! I have a feeling I wouldn't come out of such an episode unscathed! lol

    ReplyDelete
  87. yeah it would be cool if we ran into tom, but hes on tour right now! maan, the summer i'll be going around the area, he's not here. >.<

im off to bed, very tired. sweet dreams/have a good day everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  88. how do these tickets go so fast!? all the fairweather fans must have disposable incomes! im just an illustrator! D;

    ReplyDelete
  89. We seriously have to get the screening process implemented!!! Front row seast should be allocated based on the amount of time you have spent on CoF.

Also, CoF Kittens receive automatic allocation.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Sofia - Maybe you can spot closer unsold seats on the Internet right before you go and try to sneak in them, crossing your fingers no one will come!

    (Hey! Why don't "I" do that? >:o|"

    lmao

    ReplyDelete
  91. i cant wait to meet you guys either!
which is why i need that email addy for the meetup! since im supposed to be involved! errr!

    ReplyDelete
  92. sorry, dj, but do TRY to coax your dad into flying somewhere.... it's SOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it!

elise: COF Pussies MUST get priority at ALL Cure shows!

    ReplyDelete
  93. COF kittens get to lay on stage! How's that elise? ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  94. And as a Beatle (thanks for that one JPX, wherever you are!), I want to sit on Simon's amplifier!

    ReplyDelete
  95. elise, srsly. someone talk to craig about this. or take me straight to robert. i wouldnt mind being the mediator there, dudes!

    ReplyDelete
  96. fantac, that IS a good idea. i'm very clumsy (that girl was always falling a gain and again). but i'll try to be stealthy this once!

    ReplyDelete
  97. theres a meetup for msg? oh i could not miss this! the only thing is - me being paranoid about my scalper bought ticket - i want to get to the venue early and make sure my ticket scans. so i want to be at the doors when they open.

    ReplyDelete
  98. CoF kittens on stage - woo hoo!
let's get rid of 65DOS and we can be the opening act.

    ReplyDelete
  99. And what would "The Kittens" sing? The Lovecats? All Cats Are Grey? Catch (Cats)?

    ReplyDelete
  100. christina, well we *coff* (if i can get the email) are trying to set something up. theres this great bar on the east side called 'otto's shrunken head' crazy tiki bar. i know the owner. it would be PERFECT for that afternoon. and then we can all caravan over to the west side for the show

    ReplyDelete
  101. elise, omg what an idea. ive been in bands! i play guitar! anybody else play an instrument?! if not i have jingle sticks and tambourines!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Sofia - Oh no! So you're saying the get together is on FRIDAY, right? I only get to NYC around 9pm Friday :o(

    ReplyDelete
  103. Fantac... .I don't think I thought that through very well - I have not talent whatsoever!!! I'm learning the guitar and it sounds like a strangled cat - will that count?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Cat - I put a link to the hotel on the other blog for you.

    ReplyDelete
  105. elise - lmao!

When you come to visit, you have to tell me what you think of my music! ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  106. fantac, wait...9pm?! when does the show start?

    ReplyDelete
  107. cat, oh you have a hotel? if not i recommend the carlton arms!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Sofia - I don't go at MSG. I can't make it on time :o(

I do to RCMH the next day. I'll be in NYC around 9pm Friday until Sunday...

    ReplyDelete
  109. fantac, i'm a loser. i didn't realize you were going to RCMH! sucks you are not going to get to see them at MSG. i would like to meet you. i really want to do RCMH but I can't.

    ReplyDelete
  110. sofia, how far is carlton arms from msg? and is it terribly expensive?

    ReplyDelete
  111. fantac, where are you staying?

ugh. im not free for a meetup on saturday before the show but ill hold up "special" signs for row vv ;)

    ReplyDelete
  112. Fantac - sounds like a plan - I tell you what my 2009 US/Canada holiday is gonna need to be for about 3 months at this rate!

    ReplyDelete
  113. sounds bueno! email me cat when we can pull all this together! :)

    ok ladies - i'm out.

ive been sitting on my ass ALL DAY on this fucking computer! christ!

i need to go to walmart and get some laundry soap and floor cleaner. since ive been out of town - things have been neglected around here.

i cant believe i have done this all day long - took a break once to feed my dogs, eat, and shower.

    good lord. i need help.

im sure ill be back tonight after i get home. :D

    ReplyDelete
  114. cat, its a close cab ride away. in the east 20's and cheap and a VERY UNIQUE experience!

    http://www.carltonarms.com/

    ReplyDelete
  115. Cat - I meant to go! But with the customs and because I go by car, I couldn't risk not making it on time... I would have driven like a Nascar driver and ended up in jail thus missing both shows!

(OK I'm exaggerating a tad but you get the idea... lol)

    ReplyDelete
  116. bye christinnaaaaa! cant wait to meet!

    ReplyDelete
  117. fantac, my bf lives in ontario and he's coming 3 days ahead of time in case of a snag at the border. JERKS!

    ReplyDelete
  118. Sofia - I'm staying at some youth hostel. Hotel rates in NYC are plain ridiculous so I settled for the cheapest alternative I could find! lol Good part is I'll have more money for the other aspects of my stay (cough cough) ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  119. oh fantac, you should check out the link i posted for cat for next time!

i know. everything is stupidly expensive here. thats why i cant wait to move!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Christinap - "ok ladies - i'm out."

I'll say it one last time for all to see:

I NEVER DID, BUT I COULD WEAR PHTs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  121. a quick thought before i go...(only to return in a few hours)...

    we should get t-shirts made!!!

    wouldnt that be hilarious!!!

    ReplyDelete
  122. *put your hands in the sky* you'll never guess what song I am listening to at the moment.

Lunchtime here. I've gotta go and get some food and then I have a steering committee this afternoon. God I am so depressed.... I'm gonna miss you guys.

I'll be back as soon as I can.

    ReplyDelete
  123. sorry fantac!!!

you COF manly man you!!! GGRRR!

    ReplyDelete
  124. christina, ill get right on a design for it! cof kittens or something else cof?

    ReplyDelete
  125. It's about time someone recognized my manhood!!!

(Did you guys watch Zohan btw? lmao)

    ReplyDelete
  126. or the cof icp. :D

i like the kittens btr though!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Bye elise! Missing you too! COF ain't the same without its kittens...

    ReplyDelete
  128. cat - your seats are pretty close to mine!

    ReplyDelete
  129. craig wears the pimp kitty shirt

fantac can wear the asst pimp kitty shirt. just so he feels acknowledged. :D hahaha (tolhurst)

    ReplyDelete
  130. thanks sofia - i am checking out elise's rec first. my bf and i usually stay at on the ave when in nyc but it's further away and hotel penn is closer.

    ReplyDelete
  131. As long as it's not the "ass. pimp kitty" shirt!!! What a difference a single letter makes, huh? lol

    ReplyDelete
  132. ok peeps (better fantac?)

    i'm out.

    back after walmart hell...

    ReplyDelete
  133. Christinap - Let's settle for "tol" instead of "lol"! What do you think? tol

    ReplyDelete
  134. Hey Fantac - I must confess that I thought you are a lady in the beginning. But of course, now I know!

    ReplyDelete
  135. My God! You too Jenny??? lmao This is getting hilarious! But hey... My girlfriend thought I was gay when she first met me!

(Now I shouldn't be saying this right? -sigh-)

    ReplyDelete
  136. (Fantac thinking: "I could always take pictures of me in PHT's but then again, that would only make matters worse... Right. Just let this be.")

Did I say this out loud???

    ReplyDelete
  137. Jenny - I never said I thought it was bad! tol I've always had fun with this tol

    ReplyDelete
  138. I was once taken as a guy on the internet (not under the name Jenny, of course) and I thought that was damn funny.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Where did everyone go btw?

    ReplyDelete
  140. clockwise - where'd ya go?

    fanatc - hi!

    ReplyDelete
  141. I believe it's past bedtime on the other side of the world? I live in the future so I'm having my Friday lunch.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Hi April! You good?

    ReplyDelete
  143. chris, i sent an e-mail to you. also, i made res at hotel penn, directly across from MSG! rate is the same as the other.

    ReplyDelete
  144. April - You almost wrote "fanatic"! tol

I was called zantac this week too... he he

    ReplyDelete
  145. Hey Cat! You still around?

    ReplyDelete
  146. gay guys rule. straight-gay guys rule too. my bf is a straight-guy (seems gayish at times but is totally straight). i'm a bit dykey myself, but i loves me some DUDES

    hi jenny, april.

    ReplyDelete
  147. clockwise - my seats at MSG are pretty close to yours

    ReplyDelete
  148. jenny - HI

    Clockwise - sect 7 row N

    ReplyDelete
  149. Cat, you're going to the show tomorrow, right? Good luck with the setlist and the crowd! Not sure about Do the Hansa, but perhaps they'll play Club America for you? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  150. ugh. i drank too much fucking coffee today. made a hole in my gut!

    i sound like bukowski.

i'm SO EXCITED to meet everyone. seriously. dont be afraid to say hello, either. i'm pretty friendly. :)

    ReplyDelete
  151. cat, sofia, fantac - so is there going to be a get together before the show? or is that reserved for all you COF vets only? I feel like its a top secret meeting(sorry to sound high schoolish)

    ReplyDelete
  152. april, before msg there is trying to be! does that make sense?

i need to get in touch with some of the people who were trying to figure it all out (hi, if thats you- GET IN TOUCH WITH ME!)

    ReplyDelete
  153. First a Beatle, now a "vet" tol!!!

Apparently, I won't make it to the get together April :o( I'm only there for Saturday's show... Well I'm still planning to attend an after-show Cure party somewhere but I'm still not decided which one. There's a few I heard about and I'm sure there's gonna be others when we walk out the doors... But as far as THE COF get together, I won't be part of it :o(

    ReplyDelete
  154. Aww, you guys are going to meet at the show, how nice! Wish I could be there!

    ReplyDelete
  155. to ALL : how much are you guys paying for your hotel if you don't mind me asking? I work for Intercontinental Hotels and would like to help anyone out looking for a room. I can get employee discounts. Now, I can't get a great rate right across from MSG, but just a train ride away I can get great rates on a room

    ReplyDelete
  156. april, i live here. but, dude? that is SO awesome of you!

    ReplyDelete
  157. :oO

April! Are you serious??? I had to settle for an hostel dorm so much rates were ridiculous in Manhattan!!! Could you get me something nice AND affordable?!?

    ReplyDelete
  158. sofia, because i am/we are nervous about the ticket scan thing... i think we should get together close to MSG. it just makes sense. i know you're a jaded NYer who flits about town, but for me, as much as i love the city, it makes me nervous to get together further from the venue. does that make sense? cuz i wanna make sure i get in and some scalper MOFO don't get there first.

    ReplyDelete
  159. april, i am resorting to paying out the butt for a hotel room across from the venue. otherwise, thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  160. "jaded NYer who flits about town"

    well i never! ;)

you got it. there are plenty of pub type places around. ill be on the lookout for a semi cool one

    ReplyDelete
  161. fantac - yeah, i can do one of two things, and one is WAY easier than the other. Its easiest to get you a room where I am staying. Its near Newark (a little bit of a ride) OR a room at La Guardia. Maybe Sofia can tell us which is better? But the rate is $59!!!!

    ReplyDelete

    or

    http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/pc/1/en/hotel/nyccr

    ReplyDelete
  163. Newark's in New Jersey, right?

    ReplyDelete
  164. WHAT??? 59$!!! I just seen that!

    ReplyDelete
  165. oh dip! $59 is crazy cheap!

LGA is 15 minutes from anywhere in the city

newark and the other airports are about an hour!

    ReplyDelete
  166. fantac - yeah, i am flying into Newark so i thought it would be easier to stay there

    ReplyDelete
  167. Do you know if there is a parking at the one in Newark?

    ReplyDelete
  168. I can't seem to make your links work... :oS What do I do wrong? tol

    ReplyDelete
  169. so maybe will do La guardia...

Sofia - do you know how I can catch any train from Newark? Will I have to take a bus to a train stop?

    ReplyDelete
  170. fantac - try googling this

    Holiday Inn
    CARTERET RAHWAY
    1000 ROOSEVELT AVENUE
    CARTERET, NJ 07008 UNITED STATES

    ReplyDelete
  171. and the second:

    Crowne Plaza Hotel
    NEW YORK-LAGUARDIA AIRPORT
    104-04 DITMARS BLVD
    EAST ELMHURST, NY 11369 UNITED

    ReplyDelete
  172. Fantac - I also am working on a room at the Waldorf Astoria. I have a connection there

    ReplyDelete
  173. Air Train: The Air Train offers connecting service to NJ Transit and Amtrak trains which will bring you into Manhattan. Surprisingly, this can actually be much quicker than taking a cab or bus, and it is much more affordable. $11.55 one way will bring you from Newark Airport to Penn Station (which is the same building as MSG!!!). AirTrain connects the NJ Transit "Newark Airport Station" to the airport terminals. Consult the schedule to determine the schedule of connecting trains. Service is available from 5 a.m. until 2 a.m.

Taxis: Metered fare (plus tolls) to any Manhattan location, approximately $40-55. Taxis are available outside of every terminal and there is typically a taxi stand where you will be directed to a taxi. There is an additional charge for luggage over 24 inches if the driver handles the bags, and rates are based per car, not per passenger (up to four passengers).

    ReplyDelete
  174. April & Sofia - You think it's to be easy to reach Manhattan from there? It seems a bit far out :oS

    ReplyDelete
  175. sweet! AirTrain is the way to go!

    ReplyDelete
  176. the waldorf astoria! whoooo! you fancy-ing it up, gurl!

fantac, the air tran really isnt so bad and it takes you RIGHT to msg!

    ReplyDelete
  177. Whoa, April, would you mind if I took advantage of your discount as well? Sorry if this is a little late, I only just realized even the non-concert posts were getting chatty!

    ReplyDelete
  178. Fantac - to me its worth it. I don't think its THAT far. Like sofia said, if we do the LaGuardia one, its 15 from downtown

    ReplyDelete
  179. annie - totally....I will see what I can do. Anyone who would like a room, email me: menkuare@yahoo.com

    ReplyDelete
  180. I would die if I got to stay at the Waldorf!

    ReplyDelete
  181. Well with this airtrain thing, it sure makes it interesting!!! Considering I wouldn't have to pay for parking on Manhattan... Last question I have is this: What time does the airtrain stop? Because if it stops early, it's no good! tol

    ReplyDelete
  182. btw, sofia-- do you happen to know which of these hotels has the easiest path to Radio City Music Hall? I'm driving in on the day of the MSG show and then staying over for RCMH so I'd rather have one close to the latter.

I'm also visiting Columbia and Pratt that day so maybe I should figure that in... blehhh, plans.

    ReplyDelete
  183. 59 is way cheap. i wish i could do that but i would rather walk right across the street after the show. hopefully christina will stay with me and i told her to just pay me whatever.

sofia, it would be better to meet up closeby, doncha think??

    ReplyDelete
  184. So let me get this straight April... You could get me two nights in Newark for 59$ a night in double occ. That correct?

    ReplyDelete
  185. fantac - Yes, that is correct

    ReplyDelete
  186. (I never thought COF could turn into a meeting agency AND a travelling agency in the same week!!! All hail Craig!)

    ReplyDelete
  187. But how would we work this out realistically? It's not like I can give you my CC info right on here! lmao

    ReplyDelete
  188. We're all here to help each other!
