There's nothing left but...

Faith live in Rotterdam on March 18th, 2008.

Fingers and toes are crossed (and candles and bonfires lit, Olivier!) in hope that we finally get the full Faith encore tonight. It's the last chance for Europe, will they play it?

  1. Nice one! I'm not gonna keep my hopes up, though. "Normal" London gigs never seem to be any special (apart from Barfly and all that). But there's lots of other good songs they will play anyway, so it's gonna be brilliant! YAY!!!

  3. I'm thinking tonight will be more Prayer Tour Wembley than Dream Tour Wembley. They've certainly been talking the show up. And one show in Britain the whole tour? Yeah, something special tonight.

And there'll be more tapers there than anywhere ever, so that's nice. And here's hoping for The Same Deep Water as You and The Last Day of Summer, both soundchecked this tour but never played.

I'll be watching your site carefully, Olivier. Have you got YOUR banner? (FAITH ENCORE)

  5. what is meant by "full faith encore" does that mean playing the whole album as an encore?! have they done that? including carnage vizors?

  6. @crispypumpkins: I think what is meant by that is that one of the encores would consist of several songs from Faith, but not the whole album. On many of the Europe shows they've played a Seventeen Seconds encore, with "At Night", "M", "Play for Today", and "A Forest". The Faith encore would be a similar deal, except with songs from the Faith album instead. :)

  8. The Faith encore is: The Holy Hour, Other Voices, The Drowning Man, Faith.
They have 5 encore sets listed on the printed setlist each night. Faith set, Seventeen Seconds set, Kiss Me set, Pop set, Old School set.

And this is why I do not run a site as such. I would tell ppl that the faith set consists of songs beginning with each letter. IE. friday im in love, all i want, inbetween days, the funeral party and happy the man.

  10. Well that set list was certainly nothing special, lol. I half considered flying from the states to London, but I'm glad I didn't. Same set list, same encores. Nothing special.

Robert is really losing it. I mean it's great they play 3 hours and all, but what is the point of the Faith encore if they are never going to play it, lol.

Well they seem to do the 17 secs encore almost every night, hoping they stick to that in the states.

  11. Maybe the setlist was nothing special but for me it was the best gig on this tour. The atmosphere was brilliant. I'd never seen the British crowd go mental over The Cure, so this was absolutely spectacular!!! I didn't see much because I was dancing like mad but apparently Porl broke down on stage. Anyone know more about that? Hope he's okay. Honestly, the setlist might look boring if you're reading it on the internet but if you're at the gig, it certainly rocks! Especially the 17 sec encore. I can't get enough of that!!!

Btw, Jo from Scotland - hello!!!
