Seems like a lot of re-re-re-re issues, live albums, etc etc from The Cure...
ReplyDelete...But where is the new Studio album? It's supposed to be out in less than 2 months..
...yet we have no single, no title, and they only play 3 new songs, 2 of which suck and one that is from the 2004 sessions.
Something is up here.
That's a bummer. I was looking forward to the Conert reissue, but I suppose it's all been released on CD now, anyway. I see the reasoning behind limiting the release, though--wouldn't want them to get ahead of the official remastered sets.
ReplyDeletequite obvious why this was rescheduled... with no Disintegration or Concert listed anymore, seems like we will never see a proper rerelease of Concert and the next part of the Japan CDs will probably come out when we see Disintegration/Wish as deluxe editions (in 2013???)...
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on with the remasters? How is it that robert has lost so much momentum since the last album. Aside from a smattering of concerts, what the heck has he been doing with his time? The new album is long overdue. How can they be currently touring and finalizing the new album at the same time?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I can't believe the official site is still using artwork from the last album, The Cure, rather than freshening it up with images and music from the forthcoming album. Thank God for Craig's site! If it wasn't for him we'd have no news on The Cure whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteOne would think that with all the delays that the reissues would have been released to satisfy everyone til the new album comes out, it all seems long overdue.
