  1. Hi everyone! The last show, I can't believe it. I think I'll be crying pretty soon.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Question: When they play the adagio as an intro, is that a recording in the background or does The Cure play it?

The Adagio is my favourite classical piece, but I've never seen the cure play it. In one show that I saw , they had the William Orbit version in the background just before the band went on stage.

    ReplyDelete
  3. kj - perfect way to describe it.

    ReplyDelete
  4. thrills, screams, and over before I want it to be

    ReplyDelete
  8. Listening to Adagio from Shrine - chills as the crowd cheer for the band obviously coming on stage.

    *heart slowly breaking*

    ReplyDelete
  9. we should have lk an annual meeting here once a month :)

    ReplyDelete
  10. JPX:

    I'd put:

    -Lament
    -The Caterpillar
    ...oh so many more...

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sara - once a month - why not once a week?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Out Of This World.

    This is it...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Elise - I'm playing it, too!

    (hug cure kitty & elise)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yes,Craig, OOTW goes in red marker !!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. URI: It's a baking tape that plays them onto the stage.

    ReplyDelete
  16. thats exactly how it started at the houston show, so far :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. This brings memories of the Dream Tour... I traveled to London to see it. Cost me a fortune.

We should start a thread somewhere where everyone comes up with their dream setlist for a three hour show and people rate it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. elise---hugs back and a big box of tissues too!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. :( Why does it always have to end?

    ReplyDelete
  20. OH, can i join to the "crying when i listen OOTW club" ?

    (embarrasment grin )

    ReplyDelete
  21. When we look back at it all, as I know we will......

    ReplyDelete
  22. Uri - there is a thread like that at the myspace group.
    http://groups.myspace.com/curecraigandcofrule

    ReplyDelete
  23. Madbob - I'd be disappointed if you didn't join us

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mad Bob, don't be shy! (smiles with tears in the eyes)

    ReplyDelete
  25. mad bob - i added ya on myspace

*crying over pint of ice cream*

    ReplyDelete
  26. mad bob---boys do cry at the last cure show of the tour!

    ReplyDelete
  27. hi guys! i'll be popping in and out through out the night, we are entertaining a guest tonight and have to bring him out to dinner so i'm going to miss part of the show!

    ReplyDelete
  28. *hands everyone special LTD. Edition Cure tissues* lol

    ReplyDelete
  29. ..But real lives are why we stay
    for another dream
    another day
    for another world
    another way
    for another way...

    ReplyDelete
  30. One last time before it's time to go again

    ReplyDelete
  31. I want the sky to fall in!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. When this tour is over, if you're not my friend on facebook & myspace already, I'm going to add you!

COF peeps need to keep in touch!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Just got the kids set up with a new Disney movie. I should be good for at least 2 hours uninterrupted.

    ReplyDelete
  34. JPX: Lament is my ringtone, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Faith....they HAVE to play faith....they just HAVE to....anyone think theyll play it????

    ReplyDelete
  36. I am back. Dinner went relatively quickly. Now I can watch the Cure with the COF gang.

    ReplyDelete
  37. CK - that was exactly the reason Fantac set up the COF Geeks group on Facebook - so we wouldn't just go back to real lives and forget our friends here.

Although, I am sure Craig will have threads for us to chat on here :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. you guys are going to laugh but part of wrong number is my ring tone...i happen to like that song and was probably the only one excited when they played it at the concert hehe.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Anah, that's cool! I have a bunch of ring tones including Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode - they just lend themselves to ringtones!

    ReplyDelete
  40. drink more dreams more bed more drugs

I'll need a little bit of all that after tonight to cope with no more cure on tour!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Michelle, I really like the studio cut of Wrong Number, I just don't like it live =(

    ReplyDelete
  42. I know this is from the previous page, but after the concert I read Never Enough again for about the fourth time and am currently reading Inbetween Days. I've also read 10 Imaginery Years so many times, I have it memorized.

    ReplyDelete
  43. jpx: thank goodness someone likes it :)
i really do like the studio better, but i still like the song so hearing it live was a real treat.

    ReplyDelete
  44. elise---I'm glad he did! I haven't posted on it since I signed up. I can't get away from this place!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Sara - Exploding Boy put dibs on Faith as the final song when we were talking last night.

To quote - the old school encore ends, long break, crowd going wild, Robert walks back on stage and starts playing Faith!

    ReplyDelete
  46. "drink more dreams more bed more drugs"

    My life...

    ReplyDelete
  47. "grooving to Want from Altlanta show"
    can y'all hear it??

    ReplyDelete
  48. Fear of Ghosts is my ringtone. Hey why don't they play that one more often!

    ReplyDelete
  49. ohhhh lol i must have forgotten.....lol i hope hes right...that would be amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  50. BTW _ Exploding Boy asked me to send his love and to say have a great time.

    ReplyDelete
  51. alt.end? Cheesy double clap anyone?

    ReplyDelete

    Six billion beautiful faces
But I saw them all before

No this is not about running out on you

    ReplyDelete
  54. MORE HEAD, MORE LOVE

    fav.

    ReplyDelete
  55. elise - is exploding boy an aussie too?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Kitty-thats a long ring though ;)

    ReplyDelete
  57. I love how Robert tells us a story from the setlist.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Aw mad bob that is so sweet!

    Long live Cure Friends!

    ReplyDelete
  59. alt.end got me through many longruns when training for the chicago marathon in '04. didn't have an mp3 player at the time and just had to rely on the regular radio when running. luckily, XRT in chicago played the crap out of this song.

    ReplyDelete
  60. DJ - yep, Exploding Boy lives here in Perth, but we actually met at the Adelaide concert ;)

    ReplyDelete
  61. yes, mad bob that was really nice ;)

    ReplyDelete
  62. I wish my ringtone was Perfect Girl or 2 Late. I have an iphone and I don't know how to change from the defaults w/out buying songs again and again and again and again and again.

    ReplyDelete
  63. bernie--the ringtone only lasts 15 seconds.

    ReplyDelete
  64. mad bob and elise-- it is cool to have international friends like you {hugs}

    ReplyDelete
  65. christopher, do you have garage band?
you can import the mp3 and then save to a ring tone from there into itunes...

    ReplyDelete
  66. Michelle - what is garage band? Besides the many bad cover bands from my past.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Love this song. HOTD was my first "tape".

    ReplyDelete
  68. KJ - I feel the same way about all my 'international' buddies

    ReplyDelete
  69. christopher: it's a music editing software for the mac

    ReplyDelete
  70. take it all
    take it all
    and strike me dead...............

    ReplyDelete
  71. anah - 'tape' - oh those were the days! But I always bought the album, then copied that to tape - that way if the tape broke I could re-record it ;D

    ReplyDelete
  72. HOTD was the first album that got me into Cure. After the hits, that is.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I've been moping all day. First my drawing class came to an end (I picked up my portfolio today), leaving a great gaping wound in the process, and then I kept thinking how close I came to being at this gig. AFS would have had me weeping from the first note or two, and anything from 'Bloodflowers', particularly the title song, would have re-defined the word 'bliss'. *sigh*

    *7bs needs a hug*

    ReplyDelete
  74. I still have a bunch of Cure tapes!

    ReplyDelete
  75. altr2elise, and tape broke so easily! I can't tell you how many times I would take out the little screws to fix the damn ting!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anah - it is a very sad story that Robert is telling us tonight

    ReplyDelete
  77. Michelle - Unfortunately I have an Iphone but not a Mac. Do they make a PC version or something similar?

    ReplyDelete
  78. bells has no wine but a big pot of tea to toast with.

    ReplyDelete
  79. terri, i love you and feel your pain. we were going to go together. that sucks!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I still have all my Cure cassettes including Carnage Visors, which I still think blows.

    ReplyDelete
  81. elise-- I did the same thing. I drove my 94 volvo to the ground and just replaced it last month.I had self-made Cure tapes in the console til the day it retired 6 weeks ago Woohoo for my 6 CD changer now.

    ReplyDelete
  82. ahhg, ok, my guest has arrived so we have to go out to eat, enjoy the show, hopefully i can get back on here later!!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Hi 7bluestars----we've been crying all night so far!

    ReplyDelete
  84. *gives 7bs an all-enveloping hug*

    ReplyDelete
  85. Tapes - I had a copy of Disintegration that got messed up and played backwards. I think Robert was really singing, buy CD's not tapes.

    ReplyDelete
  86. It does appear that Robert's choices have a common theme. PErhaps he'll end the show with "End"?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Elise: :(((

Although I'm sad, I am also very happy that the 4tour happened.

    ReplyDelete
  88. hmm christopher, i'm not really sure what kind of software you can use if you have a pc :( i don't think they make garage band for pc or something compatible.

    ReplyDelete
  89. JPX: LOL! I don't have that anymore, and sure as hell I wish I had kept my In Orange VHS!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Hey everyone! I'm sad the tour's ending... etc. etc. Actually, no. Let's be honest here. I'm in total denial about it.

I should be cleaning, but I'm here with you.

I see that there is another Michelle here... this could prove to be confusing.

    ReplyDelete
  91. bye michelle---we rather have you here but enjoy your dinner.

    ReplyDelete
  92. before the tour ends - i have to know - 80's kids, what do you recommend for teased hair?

    ReplyDelete
  93. i am trying not to cry. when will they come back? ever??? never??

*feels keen sense of post-cure show traumatic stress disorder*

    ReplyDelete
  94. I still have my Cure in Orange VHS! I actually saw that when it played in the theater!!

    ReplyDelete
  95. I can help you with that, cat.

    ReplyDelete
  96. i asked earlier but got no answer...does anyone suspect they'll show up at a festival this summer? any rumors out there yet?

    ReplyDelete
  97. jpx - aaah, i hate you! my generation gets hannah montana! travesty i tell you.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Teased hair?! 80's kid? LMAO!!

Well, A comb, a dryer, and a strong ass hairspray.

    ReplyDelete
  99. My Show VHS tape got destroyed by of all things, my cat. VHS tapes are a bit difficult to find these days.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Cat - I can feel the on-set of PCTS kicking in.

7bs - I'm still sending out good vibes to the universe for the Wishful Thinking tour next year! COF Kittens hit the road in 2009

    ReplyDelete
  101. Good point, dj! Are you listening to Girls Night Out right now? =)

dj, how'd you get so cool? You must have older siblings?

    ReplyDelete
  102. I was thinking the same thing, Yellowallpaper, about summer festivals. How can they NOT play a festival at this point?!

    ReplyDelete
  103. I had show & orange too but the tapes broke after to many time watching them! Robert please please release on DVD!!!

    ReplyDelete
  104. OMFG!!! I didn't even hope to dream this!

    *bawls*

    ReplyDelete
  105. Good evening peoples!!

    ReplyDelete
  106. elise!! your song! lol well i gtg the best friend just woke up and she doesnt lk the cure much...

    ReplyDelete
  107. Chris: "Shout out to Elise!"

    ReplyDelete
  108. Cat, just have MeccaPHT fight MeccaPCTS...

    ReplyDelete
  109. ok i'll leave for a bit, if the other michelle is here later i can always change my name to something else no biggy :P

k bye guys sorry i have to go for a while :(

    ReplyDelete
  110. I should have gone to NYC totally... I'll regret that forever

    ReplyDelete
  111. peeps, it has been so much fun chatting with you virtually and from the gigs. ya'll all kindsa rock and roll. i am so sad not to be at rcmh but feel sated, in a sense, by all the shows i WAS able to attend. but, as anah wisely noted to me in charlotte, it's "never enough" cure shows. they are the most addictive band in the universe and i wish they would "never fade."

    ReplyDelete
  112. and every time i try to pick it up
    like falling sand
as fast as i pick it up
it runs away through my clutching hands

    ReplyDelete
  113. kitty - we have a can of extra strength aquanet (the purple can), and its 85% full. ITS OLDER THAN I AM. im afraid to spray it because i might die lol

shit! where was i during atlanta?? they played other voices!! thank you taper.. hope they play it tonight

jpx - actually, the song mentioned above. and im the oldest! i spent my very early childhood watching alot of MTV.
paul - we so shouldve met at san jose~! oh well, next northern cali show, eh?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Hey Michelle, don't change your beautiful name! :)

I see that you type in lowercase. Our typing styles can tell us apart!

    ReplyDelete
  115. Hi paul! I regret not going too! Crying once again! :(

    ReplyDelete
  116. Aww Cat: <333

Nope, I don't have a lump in my throat!

    ReplyDelete
  117. *hugs Chris* *grabs another handful of tissues*

    ReplyDelete
  118. Dj, so basically you're just a cool chick!

    ReplyDelete
  119. They really NEED to release Orange and Show in DVD. Wasn't there a plan for releasing them in 2008 or something? :/

    ReplyDelete
  120. AquaNet ExtraSuper Hold Unscented, a metal comb with fine teeth close together-- plastic will not do it. My hair was to my butt back then. Given my natural Texas passion for "big hair" and being a Goth before we knew that is what we would be called-- I KNOW big, teased hair. I'll have to post an old photo sometime

    ReplyDelete
  121. anah, u rool!

so many cure memories/mammaries... honestly the best part was meeting lusty femmes like myself!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Bruce Willis is...shiny.

    He always looks so...shiny!

    ReplyDelete
  123. let me tell you something (as if someone cares)
IF the cure tour again in 4 years or whatever I will be at many more shows... I'll follow them around way more than this time, fuck it I'll put it all on a credit card if I have to, you only live once (except for reincarnation... but I'm only going to fun cities

    ReplyDelete
  124. Thanks so much for the hugs and good vibes! It was very sweet of you to care! :-*

I do so hope we get a chance to meet and do a gig together. Being with Cat, dsc, and Corrine made my Sunrise experience extra, extra special. I can only imagine what it would have been like had we been, say, a COF platoon or something. ;-)))

    ReplyDelete
  125. Robert is our Big Hand, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  126. the big hand.. stuck here on the completely opposite shore.

jpx - i feel i have the reponsibility to expose my siblings to good music =)

as for festivals - i know 65dos is playing a french festival next, maybe more european ones, i dont know. i will ask them if the cure are inviting them to open up for some other shows, maybe same festivals?

    ReplyDelete
  127. Paul K - you can join the CoF Caravan. I'll be coming over from Oz especially!

    ReplyDelete
  128. dj scribbles - we'll meet up at the Cure cover band show... the Curse. I go to those

    ReplyDelete
  129. Oh and Paul - I've pencilled it in for next year! I don't wanna wait for 4 years

    ReplyDelete
  130. T-Dork, you're my main Cure squeeze - I adore you!

    ReplyDelete
  131. I love TBH!

    *whimper*

    We should be there!

Cat, we must hear 'Bloodflowers' together!

    ReplyDelete
  132. Elise you mean a bus caravan, you know like where a bunch of us charter a bus and follow the Cure around and stay in cheap motels and split all expenses. Yep that's so what we're going to do alright..... and dont think that we won't because we are
    ok ok it's settled

    ReplyDelete
  133. Hey Gang!

Ahhhh Big Hand I remember getting my bootleg of the Town and Coulntry Club Pub Gig and just dying over that song played it over and over and over...

    ReplyDelete
  134. Hey Gang!

Ahhhh Big Hand I remember getting my bootleg of the Town and Coulntry Club Pub Gig and just dying over that song played it over and over and over...

    ReplyDelete
  135. but when the big hand speaks
    it's like fireworks and heaven

    ...

and when the big hand sings
    it's like fireworks and friends

    ReplyDelete
  136. dj--don't use too much Aqua-Net, it will make you hair super stiff unless you want it that way!

    ReplyDelete
  137. I swear it's going to be like Grateful Dead Tour.

    ReplyDelete
  138. http://www.gothpunk.com/howtos/big-hair.html

    ReplyDelete
  139. Craig, you are perfect. I love your quote from OOTW. Too fitting, and yet worryingly so. :-(

    ReplyDelete
  140. Hey friends-

Lonnnng time cure fan. and hello Craig from long ago...sent you pix during the Swing tour from Dallas and ABQ (Gary and Todd). Went to the MSG show last night with my 9 year old daughter Elise. Her first Cure show (and not her last). She had a smile on her face the entire way through. Greatest feeling in the world to share the band you love with someone you love even more!!!!!! A dream come true for me. Great memories last night and many more in the future!

    ReplyDelete
  141. Paul---- NO! We will rent a tour bus style motor home with the windows darkened, and make people wonder who WE are when we are dropped off at the venues.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Paul - that is exactly what I mean!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Big hand...such a beautiful song. (sniffs)

    ReplyDelete
  144. POY... *weeping*

    @Cat :-*

May we find ourselves loving, lusting, rocking, and screaming at another gig before the year is over.

    ReplyDelete
  145. T-dork, I will call you soon. I have just been so busy (obviously - LOL). I want to tell you all about the show!

    ReplyDelete
  146. Yellow: That is hilarious. You know Robert's is just a huge mass of tangle (and a mini-ponytail now) that he never takes out....

    ReplyDelete
  147. Hi Gary! You named your daughter Elise. I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  148. Hi Gary! Your daughter's name is Elise? What a coincidence ;)

    ReplyDelete
  149. craig, chris took AWESOME video last nite, but she says it's too big to send. should i try anyway? or is she right?

    ReplyDelete
  150. kitty - aye! ;)

    thanks for the link yellowpaper

    welcome gary!

    ReplyDelete
  151. what can I say and wish she could have been at RCMH tonight to hear ALTE. But last night was fantastic!

    ReplyDelete
  152. If I have daughters, I will totally name them Charlotte and Elise! (I don't really like the name Wendy)

    ReplyDelete
