New Lol interview in Mojo

"The latest edition of UK music magazine Mojo (Queen on the cover) has a full page diary-style confessional by Lol Tolhurst. It's VERY candid and he speaks honestly and sincerely about his relationship with Robert and the problems that led to his dismissal from the band.
He says that when the band listened to the finished mix of "Disintegration" he'd been drinking, and said half of it sounded like The Cure and the other half he hated. After more drinks he then told the rest of the band that he hated all of it. Lol explains, what he actually meant was that he hated the fact that he hadn't been more involved in the making of the album.
There are some really touching comments throughout the article, and he even refers to his stupidity in taking the band to court. I stumbled across this purely by chance, as I was waiting for a train, reading the magazines at the station - a nice surprise." (Thanks Graham)

Smith's new lyrics, however, take on current events. "I'm trying to be a bit more socially aware," says Smith. "I've always been very careful to shy away from that, but the songs are about things that bother me in a global sense."

Six extra tracks for Japan? This is false!
We know Robert said the album would be the same everywhere, but could TMU have other plans? CDJapan is claiming to have a "limited edition deluxe version" of 4:13 Dream that will include 6 bonus tracks. Here's what they say:
"Thirteenth full-length album from The Cure featuring 13 new tracks. Limited edition deluxe version features 6 additional unreleased tracks plus the high-fidelity SHM-CD format (compatible with standard CD players)(details subject to change). Bonus Track: Japan-only bonus track (subject to change)"
Is this just some made up nonsense, or will Robert have to write yet another e-mail to TMU?
Update: CD Universe and Amazon (Japan) say 6 bonus tracks, too. (Thanks Matteo)

There's a new Cure Videography airing on MTV, and you can now watch it online at MTV Italy! Must be a mistake, so watch it while you can. : ) The special is 13 Cure videos in 22 minutes, with commentary from Robert. Hahaha, Robert is so hard on some of the videos! : )
We really need a complete video collection on DVD and Blu-Ray, with commentary from the entire band, current Cures and ex-Cures. And put the various bits from SATS and Picture Show as extras. Please, Robert? : )
