Gustav evacuation

I will be evacuating from New Orleans some time tonight. I'll be back as soon as I can, from wherever I end up. Wish all of us along the Gulf Coast, good luck!

Update: Many problems with the evac. last night, so I'm home again, and will just try to ride it out, and hope for the best. Thanks for all of the best wishes!

Live coverage: WWL & WDSU

  5. no, not again :(

as we say in french (it's positive!), merde... mot de Cambronne Craig.

It's the only thing to do.

I share the fear of New Orleans people and hope it's not an important storm, with all my heart.

  58. Well my friend I think/hope that this time everyone is more prepared than in 2005. Best of luck and don't worry about Cure updates...worry about Craig updates, that is what we will be really craving. I know I speak for many others here when I say that we come because of you, not the news. The news we can get anywhere, especially since there are many that post on frequently on other fan sites. However, the one reason that we tend to congregate here is you, our seminal leader, who was doing this 12 years ago before it was fashionable and trendy to have such a site. SO A BIG THANK YOU AND BEST WISHES, to the guy who has answered every email, posted every review and curespotting and setlist and tatoo and...indeed, without whom none of this would be possible. Thanks again Craig.

    Stay safe amigo,
    Chris

    ReplyDelete
  72. i was just wondering today, while i watched the highways clogged with cars trying to leave the town. why can't the airlines donate time, planes and pilots to FLY people out? doesn't that make sense? or does that already happen to some degree?

regardless, best of luck, craig. ride 'er out!

    ReplyDelete

Sept) that Gustav has "quietened" down...a little...is a category 3,like Katrina...but that's still not good, look what happened there...I hope, just HOPE that the US government actually responds to the people this time, if they need help, and not leave them stranded, without food or shelter for oh so very long.. the eyes of the world are on george w.. the hearts of the world are with the people...

  101. Although it´s already more than 100 posts, I have to do my part:

Namepa has it right (3): please TAKE CARE so we´ll have more "Craig OK Updates"

*Sendind good vibes to the universe* - people, animals, nature and all things loved

*WHISPERS at Gustav to settle down and have a permanent nap*

  102. Hi Craig
I really wish the best to all of you there

Seems like it happens so often
Have you considered to live in a safer state

    ReplyDelete
  103. Craig: I hope to wake tomorrow to a new day - with Gustav gone and NOLA standing strong and untouched.

Stay safe - you are in my thoughts.

    Jo

    ReplyDelete
  104. I have heard that it has died down to a category 2. Maybe our well wishes (and yells) are working a little.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I am watching right now the hurricane updates; it seems the intensity of the hurricane has dissipated a bit as it hit land but of course there are still perils associated with it. I am watching the heartbreaking coverage of the people in shelters; an elderly couple came from a FEMA trailer and are now in a shelter - which makes me beyond heartsick that they would even be in a trailer some 3 years later.

Anyway, Craig, I crave updates from you but of course know that you could be anywhere at anytime. So, I'll just send out positive vibes once again that you stay safe. You have created an amazing community of people who are concerned first and foremost for your well-being. What a wonderful thing you have created and how fervently we wish for you to stay out of harm's way.

    ReplyDelete
  106. We have family in Lafayette, LA. You are included in our prayers, Craig...

  108. Ah! A.M and no news from you.

I hope you've evacuated Craig. My thoughts are focused on you and the rest of N.O. right now.

    "9 minutes ago:
NEW ORLEANS - A weakened Hurricane Gustav crashed Monday into the flood-prone but nearly deserted coast of Louisiana, making landfall west of New Orleans as a Category 2 storm. Water was splashing over some floodwalls, but city officials were **optimistic the levees protecting the city would hold**."

Let's hope everything is and will be safe.

    ReplyDelete
  109. On topic:

Craig.....hope you're doing okay this morning. I woke up and instantly turned on the news. I'm sure you don't have power by now. Looks pretty brutal in LA as I'm sure it has been all night. I hope were able to get some sleep and I hope you are safe.

Off topic (which suddenly seems unimportant):

The official Cure site has the cover for Hypnagogic States up with the counter at 11 days 11 hours for release. There is no sample clip playing......

    ReplyDelete
  110. it looks like most of nola is without electricity right now, so we won't be hearing from craig for a bit (this from one of my friends who evacuated yesterday).

looks like the worst place to be right now is the upper 9th. let's hope craig is away from there.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Sofia, I forget what part he lives in, he mentioned it once, a few years ago. I just read that the storm is loosing power as it goes more inland. That is such a relief!

If Craig is there, I am sure he is safe. If he evacuated, I can only hope it is as stress-free as can be for him.

    ReplyDelete
  112. If I remember correctly Craig live on the West Bank of New Orleans. It looks like things are going to be ok there but still have some time to go.

    ReplyDelete
  113. i know its a little bit late but i just want to thank craig for all he has done with this site, i dont know him but he seems like a really nice guy and to wish him the best of luck!and i know its off topic, but just to dissipate a little bit the worries that gustave have caused us and i supose people already know but the official site has been updated with the Hipnagogic States EP countdown:)

    ReplyDelete
  114. encore ca ! mais se pas un site de the cure et non un site douragant

    ReplyDelete
  115. Waargh! Stay safe Craig! :/

God those poor people who had to evacuate, along with those who couldn't in '05, just barely finished getting their lives together too...

    ReplyDelete
  116. Also heard there are about 10,000 people who haven't evacuated. Those that let the feds evacuate them were NOT even told where they were going, or being taken! Aaah, useless pork barrel government. This is why grass roots organizations are so important!

Watch out for those armed facist Black Water mercenaries!

    ReplyDelete
  117. During Katrina and Rita the "faith-based" organizations did the most good.
    Craig- hope all is good!

    ReplyDelete
  118. I totally forgot that you live in New Orleans! Maybe try to leave again, Craig. I wish you the very best. I'm sorry that you have to endure this.

    Take care

    ReplyDelete
  119. so i am hoping it is safe to assume that craig is fine, but without power. gustav has moved out of NOLA apparently and has been downgraded to a tropical storm. craig, here's hoping that you get power back soon and that everything else is okay.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Hey Craig, I’ve been thinking about you and wondering if you’re doing OK after the storm. I really do hope that you and your family & friends didn't suffer too much damage. Actually I hope all the people affected by this storm are doing alright today. It was a bad storm but I'm quite glad it was nowhere near as bad as Katrina but still there’s lots of damage and flooding in the Gulf Coast. Take care & good luck, Hope to see you on here real soon. My thoughts & prayers are with you!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Cat: Agreed. I'm assuming he is safe and just without power.

I am forever grateful that Gustav was unsucessful in creating chaos here. My heart does go out to Cuba though...

    ReplyDelete
  122. now there IS a short (extremly short) preview from die Hyagnogic The Only One Remix on the official site but (in total cantrast to the single) it just says 'uargh' to my ears. worse luck....

    ReplyDelete
  123. Is my computer broken? What the hell was that crap???

    ReplyDelete
  124. Oh Elise? Where is my Elise??

I finally got some good news and I just can't stop blabbing about it to anybody who will listen.

I FINALLY got a job offer from the company I've been playing the interview game with for nearly a month. This is happiness time!

You have no idea what an absolute weight has just been lifted off me!! Yay, me!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  125. DA Congratulations on getting a new job! You've been looking for a long time and it's great that you've found something good! Good Luck & Best Wishes to you!

And could you rub some of that new job vibes onto me, I'm having a hard time looking for a new job and everything I apply for I'm either under or over qualified. Maybe I should just apply to the new Walmat opening up in my town just to get of of the crappo place I'm working at.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Thank you! Cure Kitty, I know its just a matter of time for you. I've been in the same situation.

I'm actually already employed and been trying to find a new job because A) I hate my current company B) They told me I would "probably" be out of the job by the end of the year.

That was just agony. Wondering when they'll finally get around to laying me off...Wondering what will happen then.

But now I get to march in tomorrow and put in my two weeks notice. Oh, that will be SO sweet! During this whole process, people kept telling me "Its so much easier to find a job when you already have one" and I just wanted to say "Bull!!" Its been very difficult. So I definitely know what you are going through.

I am sending all my good vibrations to ya, Cure Kitty. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you (Don't you love it when I talk like a lottery commercial?)

    ReplyDelete
  127. maybe its my completely fucked up foul mood and lack of sleep, but that remix sounds like aural feces. sorry robert, i usually love what you do, but something tells me this time i won't. prove me wrong.

what is the point of this crap anyway?? it seems like a completely futile endeavor - a waste of money, time, resources.

    PROVE ME WRONG ROBERT!

    ReplyDelete
  128. Thanks DA for the support! I know I'll get a new job one day, it's just a matter of going through the interview process and getting something better than the current place I working for. At least for me I don’t have the added pressure of getting a job because I could be laid off. That must have been terrible for you, I can understand why you felt so much pressure.

Actually if I quit, it will leave a big gap in this place. It's a small company and I'm and of the last employees that has over 5 year experience with the exception of management.

So if I go, it will leave a big hole since I test most of the software & know the system so well. Most people have been here for less than a year.
I'm the invisible employee & no one seem to care much about my input. Mgmt just wants me to test away with no questions asked. They have a leave me alone attitude so I get little support. I’ve gotten bored & depressed with the whole thing & I'm tired of all the BS & lies they keep feeding everyone. It’s a sad, depressing place.

Oh I don’t want to go on forever. I’m being a downer when you’re feeling so happy! DA Enjoy your new job & have fun! When you put that notice, think it will be a short two weeks to the next step in your life!

    ReplyDelete
  129. ps craig i am craving updates about your well-being.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Ahahaha. That was the worst clip of noise I think I have ever heard. Cure or not, that sounded terrible.

Hopefully that wasn't the 65days version.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I hope you and the people of New Orleans and the surrounding area will be safe.

    Be careful :-)

    ReplyDelete
  132. Yeah Andrew, that is preeeetty painful to hear! :oS

If the only thing I'd have heard after The Top was that clip, I too would conclude The Cure have lost "it"!

P.S. THAT WAS A JOKE! LET'S NOT START AGAIN!!! :oP

P.S. 2 Still hoping all is good with you Craig...

  133. From, aceshowbiz.com, The Cure's thirteenth studio album will be named "4:13 Dream" and will be released on October 14 in U.S. No explanation given for the title's meaning, but the Geffen album has been circling on the number thirteen, releasing its singles in the past four months on every date 13.

Prior to the album's street date, an EP containing remixes of all the four spawned singles from the set will be put in the market first on September 13. The EP, which is called "Hypnagogic States" features the remixes by Jared Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars, Jade Pudget of AFI, My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way and Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump. Artist royalties from the EP sale will go to The International Red Cross.

The upcoming album will be the band's first release in four years after dropping a self-titled album in 2004. It was meant to be a double album due to its 33 final pieces but frontman Robert Smith decided to cut it half for another album. "I've gone through so many revisions, probably more than all of the other records put together," Smith said on the process.

  134. I actually envy craig. No power, no possibilty to hear this awful clip. The crappiest output since the wrong number remixes. Why remix tracks that sound remixed already and why have it done by morons. Then again, it happened before, it is part of the syndrome.
Wish Gustav had hit the remix studio...

    ReplyDelete
  135. i'm most concerned about craig's well being, and i hope he's doing well. but wow does that remix on the cure site sound bad.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I agree with you Scott. I think the real damage from Hurricane Gustav might well be the Cure mixes! Jesus is that a joke?

Hope you are well, dry and hydrated Craig!

Hope to hear from you soon!

    Jerry

  137. Another day without an update from Craig. I really hope it is just a lack of electricity problem. I see from the news that there were about 850,000 homes without power. I hope that is the only reason for your silence, Craig.

Off topic: But on a much happier note, Dumb Anguish - I am absolutely THRILLED that you got the job you were chasing!!!!!! That is fantastic news! Enjoy the feeling of giving two week's notice - it is the best!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  138. As for the remix....... mmmmmmm.... I think I will reserve my judgement until I hear the whole thing. Have to admit, it is not sounding too promising at this point. :(

Roll on October 18th! Only 39 more sleeps to UTS Studio Version!!!!

  140. OK I've been listening to the clip and all I have to say is that this could be one of the worst remixes I have ever heard. Not really floating my boat. Still I'll hold off further comments till I hear the whole remix. Maybe the others will sound better???

Ah I wish the album was coming out this month instead of this EP! I just want to hear the NEW album SOON! Can I wait 39 more days???

    ReplyDelete
  141. There's my Elise! Thank you sweetheart! :)

Ugh. I listened to the clip on the official site. Is that the 30STM remix or is that the 65DOS remix? Whatever it is, it sure does sound goofy!

They do need to hurry up with that new album. I'll be driving back and forth to Lincoln (about an hour from Omaha) everyday for a couple months for training and I'll need some good music to drive with.

Still no word on Craig? Hopefully he's all right and just having a power outage.

    ReplyDelete
  142. craig - i am so HAPPY to hear that Gustav wasn't as bad as we thought. stay safe and sound!

ah yes, that FUCKING AWFUL mix yall just heard was courtesy of Jared Leto. I'm safe to assume: The Only One is the first single, so its bound to be the first track - which would mean the first sample. and besides, he doesnt have an ounce of musical talent.

Just counting down 10 days to say I told ya so on Mr. Leto's account.
65dos doesnt sound like that, their technique is glitchier and closer to industrial than that shit. to be frank, that was the WORST remix clip i have ever had the displeasure to hear in my whole freakin life, and I am so sad it's a Cure song.

    ReplyDelete
  143. btw - anguish, huge congrats on that new job!! :) best news of the day!

    ReplyDelete
  144. So I take it you like Jared Leto DJ?

Just kidding. That remix sounds worse than I thought it would. I know we heard, what 10 seconds? So I'm not totally going to bash it until I have heard it in full.... But I don't see it making a recovery.

So The Only One is screwed. 3 left to go.

    ReplyDelete
  145. andrew - shall i spread more loving propaganda about my favorite man? ;)
the EP didnt excite me, just looking forward to the album. I would not pay a single cent to hear that mix again.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Hey DJ, Leave Jared Leto alone, hes got a lot of musical talent!! just cause his remixing isnt the best in that demo doesnt mean he is not musically talented, plus who knows maybe it only sounds good with the whole song...

  147. Well, it seems New Orleans avoided a direct hit from the storm, which I think wound down to a category 2 by the time it got in the area. I think it was about 5-7 miles away from the city. Northern Louisiana apparently suffered some damage.
There are least 1.5 million people still without electricity according to Reuters. People attempting to return home have been turned away. Some people are just stranded on highways sleeping in their cars, or on the streets, 'cause they're not allowed back in the city.

Now it seems there are a couple other tropical storms headed this way, at least to the East Coast anyway.

Lets not forget the main reason why Hurricane Katrina was so deadly was due to lazy, disgraceful, inadequate, government response AND failed, deficient, deteriorating infrastructure.

Did someone say the floodwalls are stuffed with newspaper?

    http://www.wwltv.com/local/stories/wwl042408tpleveepaper.98095b74.htm

Methinks it may be best for Craig to move out of New Orleans. I hope he has good neighbors and is stocked with necessities. I heard it might be awhile before the power comes back on...

    ReplyDelete
  148. Hi everyone, i´m worried as everyone here for Craig, i really hope is just the lack of power the reason we don't have a word from him.

Also i hope that he and his beloved ones are ok.

After hearing the remix clip at the official site, i´m speechless, WTH is it ?, Robert aproved that ?

Doesn´t look very promising at this point. :(

Why this is the only clip that Cure is allowing to hear ?
Better if they had shared 10 secs for each remix.

I feel confused, today i did my HS presale, so i don´t know what´s next.

This EP would count as maybe "the worst Cure related work of all time?

I HOPE NOT but i don´t have much faith on it.

    :( :( :(

    ReplyDelete
  149. Helsa... I'm here on the East Coast too, and Hannah is heading our way...eep! I'm sure Craig is OK, and I too think he should move; but it'll never happen, LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  150. HI CRAIG! Hope you made it thru Gustav ok. I been sending you positive vibes!

    ReplyDelete
  151. Anah- I know storms can be really unpredictable, maybe they’ll turn and miss us. I don't know how powerful the other hurricanes coming here are supposed to be...

I can't completely comprehend why Craig wouldn't at least consider moving... THE FLOOD WALLS/LEVEES ARE FILLED WITH NEWSPAPER. It's the truth! Poorly built and maintained infrastructure is a big problem all over this country.
If some are determined to stay in LA, then they should at least get on the asses of the people responsible for building the levees and make sure they fill the walls with something more substantial like, CEMENT, or another substantial substance; NOT NEWSPAPER! At least that's what I’d do if I was determined to stay, and seriously concerned for mine and others’ safety. There's nothing wrong with sticking to your guns, but at least be informed and smart about it.

  152. Helsabot, I have fallen madly in love with you.

    ReplyDelete
  153. a sample of hypnagogic states is up on the main site..sounds like a rain wreck...

i for one won't waste my money on that,
and i doubt the rest will fare any better than the sample...for the self righteous...just give money to red cross if you want an excuse to make yourself feel better about buying such rubbish. and to the sycophants, grow a backbone and learn to criticize, not everything your fav artist does is above question...from the sample ...total trash...

    ReplyDelete
  154. Just to say, while waiting for Craig and New Orleans to get by OK...
I know, I know, it´s only 15secs, but... the remix preview is just desperately horrible!
Call me retro, but when did the 'art' of remixing go wrong like THIS, when it was (sometimes) so fun some time ago????

    ReplyDelete
  155. rb: in case you ain't noticed, so far like NO ONE has said anything remotely praiseworthy of the remix clip. so kindly place your "sychopantic fan" script into your own bunghole, por favor. :-)

As for the hurricane, we must all rememember that despite its diminished nature, plenty of people were still affected by it in LA and elsewhere - people who were in the midst of rebuilding their lives from Katrina, excessively poor people with little assistance from the government that supposedly represents them.

Craig, I hope you're okay; we miss you dearly!

    ReplyDelete
  156. I'll be the devil's advocate for a second, in a way:

I just find it hilarious and sad at the same time how the lot of you seems to jump to conclusion and say the new remix ep is utterly crap based on what? 10 seconds? Man oh man could you all be less vulgar and more open-minded? But what? Is that what being a Cure fans means?

Anyway, I'll agree with the most of you; that clip isn't very good or overall exciting, but for one, I'm glad it's different. I just don't want any cheap trick like the same singles over again with just a dance beat tacked on for good "remix" measure.
I do want something completely different from what we've been hearing so far, that's the only reason I'm interested in this.

So yeah, it's headbanging and bad in many ways, but I'll take headbanging over lame dance beat any day... I might just be in a mood for headbanging.

Oh and talking about mood... sorry about the rant, I'm in a foul mood myself, it's just been too hot these last few nights.

*starting to lose coherance, needs to hit refresh button*

    ReplyDelete
  157. hyrenck: try sipping some ice tea, that might help :-)
I'm not a huge fan of remixes but 10 sec it's not enough to judge an entire EP, especially when one one of the remixes is supposed to be 20 min long...
    *waiting patiently for Oct 13th*
*waiting impatiently for news from Craig*

    ReplyDelete
  158. hynreck: based on that 10 second clip, i have decided to torch every cure thing i own. that remix clip tarnishes the entire catalogue. no longer am i devastated by the dark charms of holy hour or euphorically lifted by push. and forget the concerts; clearly i was deluded into thinking that what i was witnessing was any good; the truth is, that remix clip has evinced to me that it was all a lie. ;-)

i do agree that some of us are a bit "rash" in our judgements, and perhaps we will end up loving it after all. i agree that the thrashy part sounds kinda intriguing. we'll see... i still don't care deeply about any of it, but i may be pleasantly surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  159. I love that everyone seems surprised that the remixes are horrible. Look at the "talent" involved in the remixes...

    come on...lets not be naive...

    ReplyDelete
  160. *sneaks a peek to see if Craig has returned*.... not yet :(

*sends good vibes to the universe for all to be safe, sound and strong in Craig's world*

BTW - what drugs was I on this morning when I wrote "Roll on October 18th" - perhaps I have sensed another delay - NOOOOOOOOO

    ReplyDelete
  161. *running hug* JM!!!

How are you? I've been thinking about you lately. I hope your Uncle is doing OK.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Mike: My favorite band is Fall Out Boy. Please don't insult them.

Elise: I agree that JM is ultra-cool. JM, I didn't know about your uncle. I hope all is well with him.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Cat - JM is a cool chick!!! As all us CoF girlies are.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Yeah, but you're the coolest COF Kitten, Elise. You OWN this place!

Where has V been lately??? I miss her!!

    ReplyDelete
  165. Oh, puhlease!!! I don't own nuthing.

    V is for Vacation!!!

    ReplyDelete
  166. Still no word from craig? I hope he's alright!

    ReplyDelete
  167. STILL?

Just how long can one VACATE anyway??

V is for Vivacious Vixen Vacationing in Versailles.

(Where is she exactly anyway? And why didn't she bring me along?)

    ReplyDelete
  168. elise: my uncle is doing ok, thanks!
You guys are the best! And yes CoF girlies RULE!!

    ReplyDelete
  169. CK: Yeah, I know, I am getting rather concerned as well. I used to have his phone number, though I doubt he would appreciate me calling him.

Likely if Craig had power he would let us know he is okay. Let's just assume that the power issue is the main hindrance at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  170. JM - I am sooo pleased to hear your uncle is doing well.

I'd love to stay for this COF Kitten Love-In, but it is time for this black duck to go to the Land of Nod.

*Sends good vibes for CLECO to get the power back on at Craig's place SOON*

Bye JM, Cat and CK (hugs)

    ReplyDelete
  171. cat--Yes I think that's it, he has no power! Well I hope that the worst of it for him. Stay Safe Craig!

    ReplyDelete
  172. Kitten Love-In eh? *becomes intrigued*

Have a great nite in the Land of Oz Nod, Elise.

CK: Just keep thinking warm thoughts for Craig and all of NOLA and the coast.

    ReplyDelete
  173. V and Craig are holed up in a cave somewhere.

Helsa: The newspaper thing doesn't surprise me. We are in the U.S. Land of...well, you know.

And 10 seconds is quite enough for me to know I can't deal with that remix. I am not one to praise Robert through everything he approves to be released. If I did, I would have to be deaf.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Yeah, the 10 second clip definitely did not tickle my ears in the least bit. Still really wanting to hear the 65DOS 21 minute EHS. For $4.99, I still have to have it. It's for charity and I need it for my Cure collection. And yeah, it was 10 seconds out of the whole EP. I didn't think I was going to like WY when I heard a 10 second clip from it either, and it turned out to be my favorite newly released b-side.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Sorry all, hate to be that guy, I'll sip some tea.
And Anah, I do not approve or praise everything Robert does, I'm no blind follower. But to be so quick in the black and white department, after hearing such a short clip, it's just ridiculous. I mean surely we can only get an impressions? A feeling, a vibe?
But hey, more power to you if that's all you need to make up your mind.
Why waste time on full tracks? lol

    ReplyDelete
  176. hynreck: based on that 10 second clip, i have decided to torch every cure thing i own. that remix clip tarnishes the entire catalogue. no longer am i devastated by the dark charms of holy hour or euphorically lifted by push. and forget the concerts; clearly i was deluded into thinking that what i was witnessing was any good; the truth is, that remix clip has evinced to me that it was all a lie. ;-)

Cat, I am desperately, hopelessly in love with you at this moment :)

I too have burned all that is Cure in my household ;)

    ReplyDelete
  177. Hi love-the-cure. A COF orgy seems in order. And afterwards, we can burn all our Cure stuff and dance naked around the fire!

    Mmmmmmmmmmm....pryo-orgy.

(How did this become so pervy sudddenly? I fear Craig will delete the hell out of me when he gets back)

Hynreck: I do like the thrasy part on that clip, but the rest of it is a bit grating. We'll see. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  178. Yeah, Cat, I know it's weird and grating indeed. I am not at all sure I'll like any of it. But fingers crossed there'll be something salvageable on this disc.

I guess I've just been burned recently by all the quick temper judgment and negativity, it's seems to go on and on without end.
Of course, a single a month kind of amplified that thing (cause everybody's a god damn critic ;)
... but you know the cycle; first a snippet on the official cure site, then some bashing, then people hear it in it's entirety, then some praising, then single being compared to live version, some bashing, then people get used to it, some praising... tune in next month for next round of bashing/praising... on and on, it gets tiring.
But it's (elton john's voice) THE CIRCLE OF LIFE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  179. I listened to the clip and kinda like the thrashy bit.

I just tried to log into the chat room and it's now blocked by the IT Dept. :( No more chatting from here. It's a sad, sad day. I wonder how long I will be able to access anything good at all?
