Venue change for Sao Paulo show

The show in Sao Paulo, Brasil on April 6th has been moved from Morumbi Stadium to Arena Anhembi. Details on how to exchange your tickets are posted at the Live Pass website (English).
(Thanks Rafael, Antonio and Pablo)

Update (March 21st, 2013): Not surprisingly, this change is not going over well with many fans - "I’ve just read the comments at the XYZ fb page, and EVERYONE is furious! Lots of fans giving up on attending the show.. meanwhile Santiago, Lima and Buenos Aires are close to sold out.. shame on us! And now things are going from bad to worse here.. the whole SP show thing is already with the customer justice.. if you have the chance, translate this link (English)" (Thanks Antonio)

Update (March 22nd, 2013): New info about the ticket exchange from Live Pass. Looks like there will NOT be an additional charge. All info here (English). (Thanks Burton_)

  1. What is the reason for the change?

    Logistical issues or low sales?

After this, the stage, lights, PA and everything else, will suffer a substancial change?

    1. According to the promoter the original idea was to use the Arena Anhembi, but due to the logistics of the Indy Racing circuit that uses part of the Anhembi Arena, it wasn´t possible, so they moved it to Morumbi. Apparently the construction of the circuit will start later, so the Arena Anhembi became available again. It kinda makes sense, because at Morumbi 40.000 tickets were available, but the place can hold 60.000 easily, while Arena Anhembi holds 35.000 tops. So the numbers match.

    2. And to add, the Arena Anhembi is kind of notorious for bad sound quality when too far from the stage. So I advise people to get early to be closest to the stage. But stage size and lights should be pretty similar to what one would expect from Morumbi.

    3. the fact is XYZ is doing a quite poor promotion for the shows in Brasil.. no-brainer tickets aren't selling as they could

    4. So after Years of waiting for a Cure show to happen in Brazil, Fans are saying they are not going to go? What kind of rubbish is that? Go have fun! See the Cure and quit with the Drama already! Be happy you have a Cure show to go to!

  3. Promoters here are still too amateur to deal with these things, no wonder we barely have decent concerts (sound and band quality wise). They want the same profit with the less expenses as possible, that's all, and screw the audience. They should have learned some lessons from the recent fiascos... And they say the entertainment market is in a "big crisis"... of course, lower these ticket prices and you'll get the sold out concerts you want and need. It's not that hard. We can't pay the same ticket prices as Europe or USA, with the poor structure that is offered to us at these venues.

  8. Now the people who got the most expensive tickets (250 dollars) are mad because people who got the 175 dollars ones have the same access... It´s impossible to please everyone, lol!

  9. The number of people who bought seats for the other areas is vastly superior than the people who bought tickets for the VIP (price being the cause of course). Not only it's cheaper but now there will be problems to accomodate all these people in a space not planned for that... if they were planning to sell say 3,000 tickets for the Budzone, reserved a space to accomodate such number and now they have 10,000 extra people coming from all the other seats... again, amateurs.
