  3. The guy starts by introducing the band, saying RS is the only original member, wonders if it is still a band or maybe more a solo enterprise...But Robert thinks it is a fully functionning group...
The interview was recorded about 45 minutes after the end of the show..There are a couple of swiss newspapers doing interviews and an Argentinian crew , asking Robert about the technical problems at BBK Bilbao
    (Shake dog shake starts)

  4. RS then explains that he wanted to tell the audience about the technical problems in Spanish, but says his Spanish is even worse than his English...so he thought he'd entertain the public...in the old days he would have just waited and sulked, now that he's older he wanted to do so
mething different.Nowadays everything quickly turns up on Youtube, and some people might find this sad but it means there are lots of fans everywhere, not just at concerts..

  5. As for playing longer concerts, they were given 115 mns, not enough..he argued a lot about longer playing time and most Festivals gave in to his requests in the end..the reason for long concerts is that it takes time to"prepare" the public and take that public to where the band wants it to go...and they didn't have enough time....

  6. Next up is talk about the setlist...The two typical setlists(of SummerCure)are mainly aimed at younger fans, not die hard ones, because most Festival fans would want to listen to these songs(JLH,Lovesong, WN etc..)...
Rs said he spoke to Simon the night before and thought the concert should be different, hence playing lovecats, close to me, and staring with Shake Dog Shake and finishing with the Top was a way of adressing the die hard fans...

  7. He's very happy about the dynamic in the group..Roskilde was difficult for some reason but otherwise all concerts have been really enjoyable and each night better than the previous one, better singing .... Swiss audience is a bit difficult...he alludes to 10 yrs ago at Paleo, when they weren't very good...

  8. Listening to part 2, and it's it's a typical RS rant about the monarchy and politics, also the french voice over is less intrusive so it's easier to hear what he says( am i right?)...he mentions playing with Roger, and playing as a 4 piece in 2008...(Lullaby) (Lovesong)

  9. After Close to me...the interviewer talks about the proficiency of each band member now , which is in contrast to the early days of the band.

    1. Hahaha...Robert should ease up on announcing new things he wants to put out, until he catches up with releasing some of the other stuff he's mentioned over the last 5-10 years. :)

Very true, Craig. I'm still awaiting a nice DVD of "In Orange", since I lost my used VHS copy!
