The early records are great, but everything since the initial break-up has been average at best. ...Thank you, Eric, for that insightful commentary.<br /><br />When I saw EatB in 1997 there was definitely a roadie who kept bringing lit cigarettes out to Mac. I'm not surprised by this recent statement since he's always been a bit of a prima donna. I did give Meteorites a listen the day it came out and it might be great. One of those things you have to listen to once and then wait a month before hearing it again just to digest it, because it wasn't one of their color-by-numbers albums like everything since Evergreen.ChristianZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10926523379961771939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1886767188052333210.post-909145273125408162014-06-29T00:38:38.324-05:002014-06-29T00:38:38.324-05:00And I second that. McCullough is pretentious as hell, though. I recall him saying that U2 was like Michealangelo -- doing mainstream-ish art; in contrast, he preferred Leonardo Da Vinci; he wrapped up his statement by saying Echo and the Bunnymen were the Da Vinci to U2's Michaelangelo. Jeez. Will still check out the album -- before buying it, though! I haven't bought and Echo album since their 2001 release "Flowers". Their 2011 show, doing every song from their first 2 albums was fantastic, though.Muldfeldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16325026777789045336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1886767188052333210.post-6446615220208935022014-06-27T21:33:52.201-05:002014-06-27T21:33:52.201-05:00The white Kanye West. The white Kanye West.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1886767188052333210.post-7898612233304751562014-06-27T20:02:48.089-05:002014-06-27T20:02:48.089-05:00Think it was, they were stopped and lined up by ar...Think it was, they were stopped and lined up by armed police who said "The Cure?" but then let them go.
